Food equal to Acana?

The place I order Harry's food just tripled the shipping, so now I have to switch to a store another province away, that does not carry Acana or Orijen. I tried taste if the wild, and he got a bacterial infection from chewing on his legs. Does anyone have an opinion on a healthy food to switch him to, any thoughts on Canidae? He us on the Acana heritage line, and loves it, I am super disappointed I cannot find it without paying more than the price of a bag to ship it!

What's this?

Acana in Canada

That stuff is pricey!!!
Tenny was on Canidae puppy until one day he literally turned his nose up at it.

I've never seen a dog do that before.

The food seemed good enough before that. Maybe he just got tired of it.
He's on Wellness now. Used to be made in the US I think that's made in Canada nowadays. (Edit: I may have that backwards.... not sure. lol)

Speaking of which.... am I mistaken or did you move from Alaska to Canada?
Nope, still in Churchill, Manitoba!
Pedigree and inukshuk is 127 for a 30lb bag in our local store, so I would rather buy quality, for cheaper south. But they only sell Acana in select stores, and petland jumped the shipping to 103 bucks.
I can get good from Petmax.ca, but not sure which to choose.
I was wondering where Church MB was (my mother was Canadian and grew up in Sault Ste Marie) and was amazed to see that is up on Hudson Bay. I'm impressed but no wonder why you have to pay so much for a bag of dog food. What a wonderful place that must be for a big furry sheepie.

I have been giving my new rescued female a high protein premium kibble called Nutrisource. They have a lot of varieties including many that are grain-free and she is doing well on it. It's made in Minnesota and I noticed it is carried at a pet store called Best West in Selkirk MB which I think is not far from you.
Their shipping is expensive, but will def look at Petmax and see if they carry it. Taste of the wild is not his favorite at all!
Thankfully he does not have a sensitive tummy, so we will play around and see what his favs are!
We just need our train back, shipping was more decent before.
Harry is in dog heaven up here in winter! Was a breeze to potty train in 40 below, and we rarely missed a walk. Now with summer, we have to hibernate, as the bears are about. Our neighbor had to shoot one that broke into his house and charged him.
Btwn that and the hordes of biting bugs, we cannot go outside for more than 10 min a day. Thankfully he is a slacker, and toys keep him busy running around.
Love your new pup! What a cutie!
Mindy is not exactly a pup. She is a 5 year old dog that has born "5 or 6" litters of "sheepadoodles" that was cast off by a back yard breeder when she failed to have another. Skinny as a rail when I got her, she had not had immunizations and her front teeth are a little worn from chewing on the board of the pen in which she spent her life up to now. But she is the absolute sweetest, most affectionate little thing and has taken to her place in our home quickly learning what stairs, a grassy lawn and a big yard is for the first time.
Oh, I call all dogs pups! Since most act like big, clumsy playful babies! Sounds like a lucky girl!
So after 3 hours of reading labels at Petmax, I went with Chicken soup for the dogs soul. Will see how that goes!
