Bad hair-cut pagent

Any one up for showing off their bad hair cut puppies? I think we should post them here and have a pagent of sorts...it might make all of us feel better!!

I don't think it's possible to have a bad hair cut on an oes... they look cute regardless..lol...
Stacey, I love your positive attitude! I think it's more for shaming myself on the job I did! Yes, Panda will always look cute. But now she looks cute and silly. I just uploaded the pics...you'll see...Professional groomer Im not!! lol 8O
Awwww... I think she looks adorable!!! :) Great hair cut! :)
Please notice the tufts of hair that I missed on her belly...her poor legs are uneven and I scalped her bum (I decided NOT to print that one)

Image

Well, at least you can't say that you can't see her beautiful eyes. How do I fix the divot on the right side of her face? (our right) she is very cock-eyed and now that Im looking at this her ears are uneven..sigh....

Image

At least she is cool...so everyone, this is my poor baby's bad hair-cut. Bless her little heart for still loving me!!
How did you get her to sit so still? Those eyes are amazing!!!!
I had a cookie on top of my head :?

Hahahhahahahah

Thanks for the idea!!! lol
WOW -- she is gorgeous! Her eyes are incredible and she has this 40s movie star quality. Great pictures!
Panda is stunning, what beautiful eyes !!!

She does have a movie star quality, she looks fabulous!! :D
Panda looks so darned cute, and those eyes - oh, those eyes!

I think you did a great job - it's so hard to cut a moving object! It usually takes me two passes to do Drez - first, to get the long hair off, and then to straighten everything out! The important thing is how it keeps them cool.

Chris
Thanks everyone for making me feel better...Im going to have the blades sharpened this week and then try to even her out...I do want to see other pictures of their baby's and their summer cuts though.....

Its the "black eyeliner" around her eyes...hence the first reason we named her Panda...40's movie star huh? MAKE-UP!!! :D
Oh Darcy - she's beautiful!
I think he looks great.
I have not cut Winston's hair yet.
He's going to a groomer for the first time on Friday, so I will wait and see what the groomer says I should do with him.
Panda looks gorgeous, you did a great job! Tim trimmed Bailey for the first time this weekend, when he's done with his nap (Bailey, not Tim LOL) I'll take some pics. I think Tim did a great job but he says it took him forever so next time he'll pay the groomer!
Looking at all the various pictures of shaved OESes, it makes me realize how chubby Chumley is! Vet says she needs to lose about 10 pounds but it may be more like 15. . . Your dogs all look so nice and trim. Poor Chumley is going on a diet.
OH DARCY! Panda looks gorgeous! I burst out laughing at the expression on her face though! It looks like she is saying, yah very funny, take pictures mommy...and show everyone!

Gucci George says to tell her he thinks she is beautiful and likes her naked! FRESH!

Colleen and Gucci George
Boy Colleen, Gucci George is a fresh one, isnt he??!!! Panda loves that in a boy :D

The funniest thing is that she is running in circles and keeps trying to sniff her bum.....I thinks she missed her hair back there  Fresh air!!
Darcy,
She looks so cute!!
Elissa :D
Pepsi's nose is nice and even....thats a good grooming job!!! I think its funny how narrow their noses really are...lol
Thanks Darcy :D
Maybe go a bit shorted on her face to fix the problem.
Pepsi's was really short, same as his body....but as you can tell it grows back pretty quick.
The Avatar pic was taken a couple of days ago.
He already has wavy hair on his back again.
Elissa
The problem is : I have a 1/4'' guard, thats what I used...if I dont use a guard, then she is down to her skin....Im not good enough to not use the guard and just "wing" it...is there an 1/8'' guard out there?

The pictures really dont make her look as bad as she does in real life..I took a chunk out of her on her left side of her face...from trying to "wing" it....lol...Panda has the straightest hair...no wave or curl...I think that would be very cool....I love that wavy look that some sheepies have...
Love Pepsi's new pic!! He looks great. It is nice to see his face upclose. He's very handsome and rather dignified.

[I'm secretly hoping for an upclose shot of Drezzie (hint hint). ]
Valerie, I agree, because I told Chris a while back that I thought Panda looked like Drezzie...Then I saw Chumleigh...and said "Triplets" :D

with different haircuts of course, so you can tell them apart...worst thing about being a twin is the "hey you" because they cant tell you apart :D
I completely agree. I love when anyone of them show up in line in the conversation because I always am comparing them. Although Panda sure looks clean compared to Chumley. With her haircut, Panda's eyes look so much like Drezzie. .
Thanks Valerie :D
I think Chumly looks a lot like Pepsi.
I guess all of them with the white head do...lol
Darcy I have no clue about the 1/8 guard, but you could get a different size blade for the clippers though I am not sure about the sizes.
Elissa
If you're feeling really brave....
You could try to scissor her face. It's not nearly as hard as you would think and most of it is you feeling calm enough to do it. Start at the spot where the chunk is missing, comb the hair straight out from the muzzle and hold it between your fingers like your hairdresser does. Then with the scissors at an angle, from the top of the nose down and outward towards the lips so that on the right side of the face it's like this \ , trim the hair so that it's layered. Repeat this from the skull out to the end of the nose where the hair is naturally layered. Then do the other side to mirror that side. It'll hide the missing chunk and as it grows out you can start trimming from the bottom up to even it out again.

(This would probably make a lot more sense if you could draw pictures on the internet like you do on cocktail napkins!)
I really think that Pepsi and Panda look so similar. I wonder if they are related to each other.
Okay, okay, I hear you! 8O I have pics of Drezzie in the camera so I have to finish the roll off first. Should be soon - I'll just take some random shots around the flower beds or something to finish it up. I really need to get myself a good digital camera so there's no wait.

Really, I can't believe how much Drez and Chumley look alike with their hair at about the same length. Even my husband, who was looking over my shoulder one night, asked if I posted another picture of Drez and when did I take it! And I agree, Darcy, the three of them all look so similar, but Panda wins the prize - hands down - for the most gorgeous eyes!

Soon, I promise!! 8)

Chumley is very flattered by the comparison! :D With Pepsi's new picture, I see what you mean.
Thanks Mandy for the advice, Ill try it tonight. That way Brian can hold her head.....

Regarding looking alike, for the most part, I guess its like a HUGE family tree....so some of the relatives 3x's removed may still have resemblances......Panda, Drezzie, and Chumleigh just might be closer on the "line".....They all are cuties though in my opinion!!!

Yeah Chris...get those pics developed and posted!!!! Panda says thank you for the eye compliment...*bat*bat*bat*....(eye lash flutter) :D

Agreed! Chumley is very flattered by all of these comparisons. I am afraid it might go to her big white head! Speaking of which, I wonder what her hair will look like when it grows out. The hair on her head seems so silky. I wonder if it will ever look fluffy. . .

However it looks, I am just so charmed by her. There is something funy about adopting an adult dog because there is this mystery of what they know from before. Like when she runs up to certain people at the park, I wonder if they remind her of someone from her past. I find myself just so pleased to be getting to know her but sometimes she seems so strange. Around 9pm, when I am watching tv, she gets up and comes to stare at me with big cow eyes. Like she is willing me to go to bed. I wonder if that was her regular bedtime before she joined my household. Funny.
Oh Pandas's hair can get really fluffy. The fluffiest I have ever seen her is after she was groomed petsmart, she came out looking like a lion!!! I havent been able to get her that fluffy. On the way out, every person in petsmart had to hug and pet her!!!!
That's awesome. Do you have pictures of it?

There is something remarkably huggable about these dogs. And especially Chumley since she is rather chubby. I love walking down the street with her in Philly because so many people want to stop and pet her. She loves it. This morning, we were greeting an older gentleman who is always so happy to see her. Then she went up to a nearby woman for more petting and the gentleman joked that he thought there was a special relationship just between them but now he sees that she likes everyone. She really does. She gets so excited at the dog park when new people enter. The dogs are totally secondary.
Panda is the greeter at the dog park. Everyone new that enters must have a proper hello.....she is also the biggest doggie trouble instigator. She gets all the other dogs to chase her, then when they all start pouncing on her, she comes running and hides between my legs...mommy protector :D

And no, Im sorry to say, I never got pictures of her fluffy. I will this year. I only take her to Petsmart for grooming once a year around Christmas..So she looks pretty in her Christmas bows, plus its really expensive...60.00 for grooming....bath alone. No clipping or anything...just a bath and blow dry. Thats like 2 pairs of shoes.....
OK, here's Riley - fresh from hiding out due to groomer's razor burn.
He's a happy camper again.
I call this picture "scalped".
(click on link below, I can't get the image to show directly )

Clyde also got a similar bangs cut, but in full coat. We referred to it as the Frankenclyde or the Clydenstein hairdo. Frankenclyde has almost grown out thank goodness. Those pieces are too short to pull back and he's pretty much blind right now.
Darcy,
I think you did a great job on Panda. Heck you did a better job on her than the 'so called groomer' did on Merlin!
hugs
Riley looks great with his new hair cut. I have to tell you, though, that the dirty mouth picture looks more like my babies when theirs is clean! :x
I just wanted to thank everyone for their comments and advice...I fixed Panda as best as I could and now the only way to describe her...is it's definately high and tight :D Kinda like Brian, but still with more hair..lol.
Thanks again...xo
Darcy
She looks beeeeeeeeutiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tasker desperately needs to be clipped. I'm trying to decide wether to attempt it myself or not........
Ginny, The worst Tasker can look is like Panda....hahaha....just keep the guard ON and make sure that the blades are sharp....and be prepared to apologize to Tasker every few minutes for the first week.... :D
Doug just got home a few minutes ago and siad, "he REALLY neads a haircut:.........maybe tomorrow.......................
O.k., so it's not really a bad haircut, but Bob got his first haircut yesterday. Unfortunately, I've lost my camera so I can't post pictures right now. He looks so handsome. They did a nice job, he's nice and fluffy. They said he was totally freaked out by the dryer, which cracked them up. They've got some HUGE dogs at the daycare and Bob isn't afraid of any of them, but they brought him to get groomed and he was all wide-eyed. Must find that camera!! :D
