Wet food?

I have 25 cans of wet food from my last dog, organic, healthy food, would it be okay to add small amounts to puppy food? They do not expire til 2019!

I might add some in slowly, but I've never weaned a dog from puppy food. I think that's coming soon for us tho!
I was thinking just a tsp in the meal, as a bit of yum, as we are hitting our winter here now, blazzard for tmrw!!
Not that we have a pup now, not til Dec, but just to make things yummy. On that note, what is a good potty treat?
We never treated for peeing. But we would go super crazy excited with praise and admiration at how smart they were for figuring out that outside was for peeing.
Good idea ! Saves on treating for night pees!
Don't treat for peeing.......you'll end up with a Kensie who runs to the cookie jar for every excursion outside. Praise is the best reward. Happy Mommies make for happy puppies. Ham it up.
My words came out wrong in typing :) saves on night peeing was meaning saves on treating for night peeing! Puppy pets, laughs and run arounds during the day will suffice, and a good boy/girl and maybe a carry in will suffice for night pees (we have a lot of doors to go through so carrying will be a must for the first month or so!)
Our porch is a 3 door, front is 2 door, both have stairs, as the house is raised 3 ft from the ground, so I plan on carrying out puppy for the first month, btwn that and bears/wolves/ anything else, I would prefer to have a hand on pups until they are old enough to train to wait at the door til I let them out!
Down here Parvo virus is carried by the wildlife so carrying pups to a designated pee area is a good idea if people live where the wildlife still roams.
Good to know! I would hate to have to ship a pup out for vetting! Is there a way to avoid that? I chase foxes and anything else out of my yard, in fear of mange, distemper and rabies, there is plenty of places they can go, I prefer my wild bunnies and birds! My biggie was the owls, we have great horned and grey, and they will carry off a dog. We are out of the eagle season, so I won't have to worry about them. I am in this house, the guard dog, who needs a companion! Lol!
I have had owls going after my head some nights, when having a glass of wine on the deck, so am very very watchful!
