Brick can't put any weight on his RF paw. Painful to the touch.
The vet says it feels warm.
They'll x-ray the paw, then shave away the fur between his toes to look for an infection.
3rd toe on RF paw is red & swollen.
No broken bones.
Possible infection, but no signs of drainage or drainage tracts.
Vet sent me home with antibiotics (clindimycin).
If no better after a couple days, will need to do sedated aspirates.
He's currently just lying on the floor; no interest in water, food, or going outside.
Any chance of a grass awn or thorn.......cracked toe nail? Poor guy, he's going through so much. Hopefully the antibiotic doesn't upset it other meds.
How is Brick's paw today? Are the antibiotics helping? xx
He's putting more weight on it today.
He's walking a bit and he's gotten up by himself.
So I think we're moving in the right direction.
That's a good sign. Do hope he makes a good recovery, bless him. Give him a big hug from his English cuddling lady.!!!!
He seems to be doing even better today.
He can go up and down stairs now, albeit slowly.
Just catching up on the board after being away for a while. Both you and Brick have been going through the "wringer" lately. I am so sorry. I know how much you love your boys. Brick could not ask for a better "daddy" than you.
