breeder in Richards Mo. has new litter from dysplastic Dam

Breeder Gail Roland has a 3 week old litter of 11 puppies that have come from a Dam that was OFA tested and deemed dysplastic. This breeder went on to breed this female anyway, and is selling the litter for 1800.00 as limited reg, and more for "show" which we know is full reg and breeding rights. I have spoken to this breeder....she feels the CHD is because the dog was being shown and did not get the proper exercise when she was young. My understanding is CHD is genetic, whether the gene is recessive and the dog doesn't get the disease, or it is passed to future litters. I'm sure not having proper exercise is not good for this breed, but that does not cause hip dysplasia. I am very upset this breeder is breeding this female 'Angel" and plans on selling the litter with full registration. She is listed on PUPPYFIND in Richards Mo. This makes me ill! Is there anything that can be done?? I feel so bad for the Dam having to carry the extra weight of 11 puppies... and the poor unknowing families that will purchase these puppies or future generations. A heartache waiting to happen

Like people on this site have done before, you can continue to spread the word to prospective puppy owners to do their due diligence and research their breeders and the parents of the puppies. You can check the hip scores online, if a breeder is ethical. If a breeder does not submit their health testing results to the ACK or CKC in Canada (not sure what it is in other countries), I would not buy from them. Yes this can mean that a person doesn't get a puppy exactly when they want one, but at least they stand a better chance of getting a healthy puppy, from a healthy happy mama.
Yes..I agree with Kim 1000%....and we both know, that if you try to tell someone who just wants validation for buying a puppy from untested parents the truth, we sometimes get snarky responses...like..."we are all snobs on this forum"....or...we just want them to spend the money to promote our quality breeders...etc...

Now, please be clear, we still try to tell these people to research online and anywhere else they can go to make sure all the breeders' ducks are in a row because we know what we are talking about mostly because many of us have learned the hard way~~by experiencing backyard or puppy mills dogs health issues/bad temperament and so on.... :tea: :tea: :tea:
