Hi....Everyone!!!!! Please respond!!!

Many newish members have not been introduced to the veterans from years back...ah---hem....

So I thought that all of the members could re-introduce ourselves in this thread~~~~~

I would love to reconnect with my old forum friends from 2007 and beyond....

AND....

I would love to get to know the newer members of the forum so we all can begin friendships starting with we all love our sheepies~~ :wag:

It doesn't have to be a long bio...just the facts and if you have some special interests.

I will begin~~~~

My name is Val and my current OES is Willow. She is 3 years old and we are a therapy team. I have been a member since 2007~~

I'm Ron. I'm one of the caretakers of this place.

I was involved with sheepie rescue for a number of years and have owned an OES from 1992 to 2015.
Right now we (Joan, my angelic, tolerant spouse) are un-sheepie-loved.

Enjoy your stay!
Hi I'm Mim and my sheepie, Bebe is nearly two I've been a member since 2008.
I'm from Melbourne Australia and we pronounce it Mel-burn, Ors-trelya :twitch:
Hi all....Im Lisa and I have 2 sheepies, Mattie and Frankie.

Frankie is 7 and Mattie is 12. Mattie is our special angel, she's a 17 month cancer survivor.
We are from Michigan.
I'm still pretty new here. My husband and I should be getting our very first OES relatively soon. The only I have right now would be obsessing over puppy things, puppy facts, and puppy stuff
I am Kim, and am owned by Virginia, who is 11 and is mama to Mady, who just turned 7 and Gracie, whose 5th birthday it is today! Mady is lying on my feet as I type this, which is good because I live in Canada and it is now cold. Gracie is having her late night snack, and Virginia is chasing sleep in her dreams.
A BIG happy Birthday to Gracie!
I swear she can't be 5.
How did that happen.

Sorry there's no fanfare the emoticons have all disappeared.
Possibly because I used so many for my OES addict post and broke them.
I'm Tom in North Carolina, dad to Daisy Mae (4), Auggie (4), Maggie (3), BooBoo (3), & Lily (1)
Hi again, everyone!!
Hi! I am Aleece... I have 3 babies with 2 legs 17, 14 and 10. Boy, boy and holy cow princess. I have 4 babies with 4 legs 1,2,4 and 6. Girl, Boy, Boy and Girl. My Oes Steel being the 2yr. old Boy. As you see he is so perfect, amazing, well behaved, such a loving charmer I bumped my head and got a Great Dane puppy! Now he and she are bessssst friends. I don't post too often but there are a few pics of the 2 of them on here. They are inseparable. Busy, chaotic household full love and structure to go with the chaos somehow making everything work!
Hi, Aleece, Tom and Shelliedoodle~~~

Nice to meet you all!!! I joined this forum in 2007 while I was waiting for Heart, my puppy~~personally, this site was a god-send because I had never had an 8 week old puppy before and I think I was constantly here asking question after question..and..all of my :?: were answered by many of the multi-owned sheepie friends.

I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have this site. And, when Heart went to Rainbow Bridge at the very young age of 6 from Lymphoma, I couldn't have gotten through the sorrow without everyone's support...Please stay with us...I promise you won't regret it!!! And please feel free to ask any questions you have~~~we are problem solvers and a wonderful support system!!!!!!!! :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug:
Hello, I am Allyson from Pluckley, Kent, England. I am on my 4th sheepie, 1st with a tail. He is 5 years old.x
Hi all,
I'm Mark.
I'm owned by a 12.5 year old Airedale (Brick) and an almost 10 year old sheepie (Zeke).
We've been on the board since January 2009.
I'm Ilene and I have Butchy, he was seven in Sept, he and his daddy share a birthday.

We are getting old so he's our last of the three we've had over the years.
That is a problem. When is to old to have a wonderfull, loving sheepie? Am hoping to get at least one more if not two, though hard to find in Kent now and Sprox is only 5 so plenty of time yet.xx
I love your sign in picture Allyson, such a cute, little sleeping baby
:ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:
Yes, daughter did the photo for me- Sprocket at 3 weeks old. I hadn't seen a pup that young before let along have him sleep on me-love at first sight. I count my blessings every day that Sprocket chose me and Dougal chose daughter or I would have had the heartache of loosing him just before his 1st birthday like she did with Dougal.xx :tea: :wag:

Well, I'm 71 and husband 73, both have problems so figuring Butchy has at least another 4-7 years (I hope) I'm sure we will be done.
Yes, I can see your point.xx
Hi!!
I'm Nancy and I have been owned by 7 Sheepies, 1 Golden Retriever and 2 St Bernards. :hearts: My last 4 dogs, Amazing Grace, Oliver Monroe and Macie Grace have been rescues along with my Golden named Abbey Doodle. All of my fur kids ared gone except for Macie Grace. Ollie, I lost earlier this year at age 13. My heart is still broken from his loss.

Anyway, Macie Grace is my only one and last. She is more reserved but has come a long way. As a matter of fact, a few weeks ago she passed her AKC CGC Certification!!!!!!!    :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: I am so proud of her!! when the trainer told me she passed, I burst into tears! I hugged MG and kissed her and she wiggled, was kissing me and the strutted her stuff!!!!

This breed is so much fun, funny smart, goofy and loving. Can't imagine why I have had 7!!
Nancy~~~Congratulations!!!!! I know how you feel when your pups do something not expected...It happened the very first time I saw Heart herd sheep...I shed a couple of tears then..... :ghug:
Hello!
I'm Leslie from Canton. Ohio.
Fred is my first sheepdog (Fred is a girl btw)
I joined this forum just over 3 years ago right before I got Fred... great place to get advice!!!!! Like Val said.. I had ALOT of questions about raising a puppy in general, let alone my first OES. Everyone was great!
I'll have to get back in the habit of logging in after work each day... That's a habit I won't mind not breaking
so glad you made it back...Leslie~~~Hi...little Fred...

:ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug:
Hi all. I'm Brenda from West Virginia. Proudly serving Charm, who will be six :twitch: next month. And our bouncey, mischievous, brilliant ball of fur, McCartney, who turned a year old on Halloween. I've been a member since 2008, right before our first OES, Chloe.

We have met such wonderful friends and their fur babes. Only thru this forum would one drive 300 miles to a gathering of people you don't know, to celebrate Old English Sheepdogs over Memorial Day weekend. And YES, so should you!!! (gosh, I've missed banana man)
Hi everyone, great to hear from you all again.

I know what you mean about banana man :D I have a great fondness for the little santa hats on the smileys during the festive season and I greet the "I had my tubes tied.." post with much nostalgic affection. I know why, I'm just weird I guess. :cow:
Does anyone know if Dawn is still around? xx
I honestly forgot about checking in on this forum given that their are some many of us connecting on Facebook. I am bummed to hear that there will be no Christmas Card exchange this year. If I weren't so busy at work and doing so much work related travel, I would volunteer to get it going again.
Allyson...YES..Dawn is still around..In fact my new puppy Wynsome's daddy is from Dawn's BOND!!!

Lynda~~I hear you!!! The Christmas Card Exchange is a very time consuming responsibility......

:ghug:
Oh, that's nice to know (about your new pup being from Dawn's Bond).xx
Nita is here! We currently have our girl Lyra and usually a foster dog or two.
Hi Nita
great to hear from you.

Same to you, Mim! Hope to see this be a huge forum family reunion!
We are on 3 pages now so must be gathering us together which if you think of it that is what all my sheepys have done-hearded our family or anyone/thing together.xx
Hi,

My mother and I plan on doing basic obedience classes with Finn and Fiona, and me taking Fin up to agility. We also plan on getting both of them tested for herding...Lot's of doggie sports!

Nice to meet you, Chrissie!
Hi Chrissie
your's sounds like a fun house with lots of creatures to love on.
Welcome, we all look forward to getting to know you and your gang.
Mim
I'm Paula and I have been here since at least 2006 and I'm the one who doesn't have a dog! My thing is horses, but I love OES and waaaay back I typed Old English Sheepdog into Yahoo and this forum was the first that popped up. So I made myself home here.....
Hi Parwaz and Lori Bedford U.K

We have Greorgi and Elwood and the newest one from France is Nella
Oh dear, sorry, all my good intentions of coming on these boards seem to have gone- so sorry for not posting since xmas. To many things on laptop to do each day and never get them done. Have written a list to "remind" me of important Sites to go on daily or so often as can spend the time. Hope everyone is having a good start to the new year and all the fluff babies are being good. xx xx
Hi! My name is Sam and my OES is called Bloo who is 6 years old now (where does the time go!). I've been a member of the forum since 2011 and from England UK!
We enjoy long walks, agility, heelwork to music and rally o. Hoping to get out and start competing again later in the year, we aren't a fan of the cold, wet weather!
Hello All. Sorry very belated response Geoff and I live on the Isle of Man. We are owned by Cloud our glorious, stubborn, loving OES. Been on this forum since 2011. And without Ron and OES.org we wouldn't have found Cloud our furry leader. Have fun :-)
Hi everyone, I'm Patrick and wife is Sharon, we live in Perth, Western Australia. I inherited our first one Merlin when I met my wife and was hooked, when he passed at 11 yrs old we were lucky to offered a puppy, Dylan. Like pringles, you can't just have one. We got Daisy 3 years ago, a proper mr and mrs. We bred them last year and had a gorgeous litter of 6 boys and 1 girl, we kept a boy, Dougal. We show them, Dylan and Daisy both have their titles and we're working on Dougals
Hi from England!! What a strange thing. My daughter had a sheepie called Dougal called Dougal, he had a brain tumor before his first birthday. She was lucky enough to have another puppy from, he came from one of Dougal's sisters, called him Dylan. You don't get many old English fluff lumps in England it seems. xx

I'm glad you made it through the gauntlet of broken security to join us!

I look forward to following Dougal's career and path to Champion!
Hi I'm old English one on the veterans. I don't have any sheepies now, but I do like to pop in and say hi and see all old and new members,.. I remember my P/W. Woo hooo
How did I miss this thread????

I'm Lee, I go by Vance on the forum. My wife Jen and I have two sheepies currently, Zoey is our oldest and our second and is almost NINE!!! She rescued us when she was a mere 4 months old. Caitlyn is our baby and she's almost SIX!!! She's Champion of Record in the UKC and IABCA. Our fist Sheepie was Bentley and will always have the top spot in our hearts. The first one always is a little more special than all the others and usually because it's all their fault!!! If not for him, I'd never have gotten to know what a fantastic breed we al love and the best online family ever.

We also have NINE cats and one of them will be bringing us more in a week or so........ Anyone want a kitten?

Vance
GREAT to hear from you...Vance..(Lee)....I will always remember our special Ohio sheepie get together. It was the only one Dino ever attended!!!! Thanks for hosting that event....the memories live on~~~~~~~ :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

Val, I'd SO love to do that again. Maybe next year. We have too much going on this year.

Vance
Living in England I can only read about these meet ups but it's great to read about folk getting back in touch again through this great site. Long may it carry on, just need regular folk to email. XX
