oh~~Mim....you are and have always been a PIP!!!!!!!

Well~~Since I am a great friend, I will respond so you can become an ADDICT too~~~~

Willow is growing by leaps and bounds. I officially retired in April and am finally getting even more involved in pet therapy. For the past 2.5 years I have been a TOUCH instructor in training (recently being able to conduct classes on my own)~I teach the humans how to handle their dogs during visits to hospitals, nursing homes and other facilities. I can't tell you how much I am enjoying my life right now.

Willow and I visit @ Siteman Cancer Center~we visit the pods where the patients are receiving their chemo and then we visit the waiting room to distract the people waiting for their treatments. We also visit a Child's Health Hospital (in a lock down situation). And, of course Willow has 3 1st grade classes for Paws for Reading, which allows me (her) to dress up in various costumes and glitzy bows and bandanas to make the kids smile...WE are still working, as a Team to be able to visit acute care children. Hopefully, by April of 2017, we will be certified to go into Childrens hospitals and visit children with life threatening health issues..

Dino has graciously offered to continue working so I can play!!! what a guy!

Every month I have an official 'grammie night' where all 5 grands sleepover and we make special treats and just be~~we eat pizza and donuts and pudding, stay up late watching Disney channel~ sleep on the couch and the floor (not me, the grands). Get up the next day and eat more donuts and chocolate milk and then they are picked up with a sample of the treats we made the night before...THEN I straighten the house and crash for the afternoon....

What have you been doing????

Judi is very busy with Bert and Harry training and performance events, but I will ask her to come back to the forum and post an update~~~

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

:ghug:
Arrrrggggg you're making me so jealous!!!!

I've gone back to full time work. So dog stuff has taken a bit of a back seat right now.
Since Feb we've done a major renovation on a house to move to, a minor reno on the house we moved from, put that house on the market and sold it, dealt with lots of unreliable tradesdudes  and I started a new full on job.

There's also been some bad luck in the pet health stakes. We lost Tiggy at the end of Feb, then in May Rowdy cat was diagnosed with B cell lymphoma and two months ago Bebe started having nocturnal seizures and was diagnosed with epilepsy.

Fortunately expensive chemo means that Rowdy should be around for another 2 or 3 years and it is looking like Bebe's seizures will be infrequent, time will tell. :crossed:

I want to retire too. :twitch:

PS what is a pip? Am I peeved at being called a pip? :D
From Mim.....

Lol...You know I love you and your humor.. A pip is a rascal...a funny person...so NO..please do not be peeved at me~~~ :plead:

I knew about sweet Tiggy, but I didn't know about Rowdy or BeBe?? I am glad that Rowdy responded to the treatments~~Poor BeBe...how old is she? My uncles GSD had epilepsy...but it was controlled with meds.

:wag: :wag: :wag: :wag: :wag: :wag:
Bebe will be 2 on 26 Jan next year. :cow:

So far because her seizures are minor and not frequent we don't need meds. They have side effects that can include lethargy and depression so I'm happy about that.
The seizures themselves aren't too much of a problem as long as they're not severe and don't go on for too long.
The problem is that she could injure herself while fitting so we keep the stairs gated off when we're not here to supervise closely.
Hah after this ONLY 8 POSTS TO GO AND I'M OFFICIALLY AN ADDICT!!!!!
Currently its unofficial :P

Watch out Val or I'll overtake you
There has been some complaining that people want me to change those rankings....

hahah just kidding!
