Itchy Scratchy - Bloo update!

I always said I'd spend more time on here and it always ends up going out the window. Truth is I've been caught up with my College work I haven't had the chance to sit and update you all!

Many know that Bloo was suffering from various allergies. He had tests and we found the problem and root - ALLERGIES.. to a lot of things we can't avoid! Grass being one.. He was having regular skin infections and wasn't well at all.

Well I decided on the Immunotherapy. He's on injection 8 I think where we are on monthly full doses. His skin is doing so well. The itching has pretty much stopped all together and it's clearing up well. His hairs growing back jet black and super thick in places where he lost it lol but at least it's growing back! I thought he was going to be patchy forever!
He still has skin infections on his hocks but we can't avoid everything.

All in all he's doing great. I'm trying hard to get him into a food routine as he's so fussy.. Some days he won't eat other days he eats loads. He was going through a stage where he kept having colitis, bloody poops and all that nasty.. So I'm extremely careful what he eats now and a diary is kept on everything!

As for what we are up to nowadays. Yeah, we are hoping to get back into agility soon where we used to go, and some more obedience. I stopped showing him as we both just found it boring. We both love moving and working as well as having fun so I'm looking forward to getting back out there and doing some agility!!

I'll be here more often now for sure I miss the forum, I love to keep up to date ans chat randomly! Hopefully I'll find more time here and there as im almost finished with my Level 3 Business course!!! :D

Xx

Glad everything is working out!
The black hair grows when there's been a skin injury. It might (probably?) turn grey in a year or so like a puppy coat.

Yay Bloo!!
Glad to hear that you have been able to help Bloo. Allergic to grass, what a pain that must be!

All types of grass, all types of dust and storage mite and venison.. yeah, I always knew he was special :excited:
At least we have gotten to the bottom of it and we are on treatment which seems to be working! Thank goodness for insurance or we wouldn't have been a to do all this! :-)

Hopefully it will Ron, he's all patchy at the moment looks kinda funky though haha
Black hair does turn grey, faster than a year. Poor Bloo, imagine grass allergy in UK. No problem here but then the dust would be. Stick with the diary and hopefully you'll find some of the answers.

Hope the shots work!!!!!!
