Piddle pad/ outdoor puppy pad

I was wondering if anyone has tried the outdoor puppy pads with the fake grass while house training. You can rewash the pad and rinse out the grass. They are mostly for smaller dogs who might be left indoors or on a patio but they have a larger dog option.

Yes I tried one.
My sheepie loved it...for sleeping on!!
She continued to pee elsewhere.
I might check some other sites for large breed dogs. Maybe it worked out for someone else. But I think it might just be wishful thinking.
Bad idea to indoor potty train any dog, especially a large one. If you don't have the time or inclination to take a dog outdoors to exercise and relieve itself maybe you shouldn't have a dog.

It's an outdoor pad for patios since most people are not home 24 hours a day. It is not a substitue for regular outdoor relief or exercise.
Friend in an apartment put it on the back patio for her Maltese. Dog went everywhere but the pad.
