Injury to Willoughby's ft.rear knee joint

Hi all,

In recovery from a hip fracture, so a friend has been walking W. Who returned Monday PM after a walk, with a limp that seemed to happen very suddenly. :!: 8O

After a sleepless night for both of us, off to the vet first thing. W.has an injury to a ligament in his knee joint,? CCL. And is on house rest, pain and anti- inflammatory Meds. :hearts:

Has anyone knowledge/experience with medical management of this injury? I am interested in recovery and whether a knee brace could help after healing. :lmt:

Many thanks!

I don't know about that injury specifically but we have had great luck with getting a dog physiotherapist for Virginia, just for the usual senior dog stiffness, but also for Mady when she injured herself doing agility. I know that our physio has worked with dogs with knee issues and all kinds of issues. Maybe there is one in your area too? Good luck, Willoughby! Get better soon!
Many thanks! I will find out if there is someone in the area. Meantime, he is comfortable. :)
