Sorry I've been gone....

Haven't put oes.org on the Ipad and probably shouldn't or I'd never get anything done! This way I have to at least walk past the laundry room to get here.
Kdog is still with us, bringing us joy. Each month she comes up with something new to entertain us.......now it's the 5 pm pester. She hears the clock chime 5 and wants outside to drink from the outside water bowl......that's it, no pee, no car chasing, she just wants ice water. I suspect the pestering has to do with the uprights often napping before dinner and she wants to make sure we don't forget to feed her. "Gotta get my uprights moving around so they prepare OUR dinners."

It is nice to know that she still has you well trained!
That sounds like an Oscar move. :D He used to just come stare at us when he wanted something. And stare. And stare. 8O It was very funny, and quite disconcerting, so of course, he would end up getting exactly what he wanted. As he lost his mobility, he got more and more vocal, forcing us to come to him and figure out why he was complaining. What a stinker!

:wag: And like Joy.......when I get out of bed she wags her tail more and more, so happy
- I just have to give her breakfast before I go into the bathroom...........
- and she do the staring.....and when she want some attenstion she is piving (?)
- well she sound like she's been hurt and need Instant cuddle and pat. :clappurple: :hearts: :aww:
No, uprights use bathroom FIRST before Kdog is let outside or she is fed!

DH just noticed her night routine: First check to see I'm in my reading chair, then off to bed with DH. When he turns off his bedside light she comes to me and makes sure I'm tucked in and lights out. Then she goes to end of hall to be the guard until morning. 5:30 a.m. she comes down the hall and stands at DH's door and then shows him the way to the front door so he can get the newspaper (and she can pee), run back indoors, find me whether in bed or pouring coffee. Run to food bowl. Bark. She indeed has us well trained.
It sounds like your sweet girls has everything under her control there. I'm sure she gives you kisses and that is your "treat" for being so good. They are so funny.

At our place, with the 5 the youngest Cubby has taken on the part of being my gargoyle on my bed at night. She's so small and looks so cute as she sits on the side of the bed next to me, making sure none of the other dogs come on the bed. lol That doesn't last too long, because they love to run around and play at night, so she off the bed and running before you know it. The other dogs know they just have to go to the other side of the bed and get on. lol

The other night, Chuck came home from work in the middle of the night and he was in the rest room. All of a sudden Cubby jumped up on his lap and Helene and Mickey Finn came in and laid on the floor. Chuck said he was so surprised. Cub is protective. If Mickey Finn is getting to excited near me, Cubby will literally put her paws up on the wall and stretch across in front of me so Mickey Finn can't get near me. She is one smart sheepie. She's only about the size of my aussie Declan, so not very big, but has a big personality. lol
I miss having a bed companion. Harry was THE BEST. He knew exactly how to snuggle and keep me warm........curiously used to be realm of DH until he went to semi upright back sleeper............anyway............

NO sitting on laps in the bathroom! Had to train Kdog it was also not the time to flop her paw into my lap.

Your house sounds wonderfully alive with puppy paws............. :D

Hi Susan,

Welcome back! I've just returned too and can relate that the thought went through my head that I may have to neglect some chores while I catch up on post. I always enjoyed your stories and pics so can't wait to see what you've been up to.

Cheers!
Marianne
