Oscar 5/2/2004 - 11/28/2015

It was with heavy hearts that we helped Oscar cross the Rainbow Bridge this morning. We have been struggling with a drug-resistant infection, and DM, but last night he could no longer stand, and started vomiting. His autoimmune pancreatitis came back.

We just could not put him through anymore, so we let him go.

RIP my Tweetie Pie.

Laurie, and no more Oscar

I am so sorry that this had to happen.
I am so sorry to hear this news. My deepest sympathies. Both of our Oscar's are now running free together.

Kathie
I am so sorry to hear this. And you are still Laurie and Oscar, he is just in your heart now and zooming between there and the bridge, where he is running around with all of the others. :ghug:
I'm so sorry. :ghug:
I'm so very sorry. R.I.P. Oscar

oh..Laurie...I am so sorry and very sad that 'WE', as a sheepie family, have lost one of our most beloved furbaby.

I enjoyed your posts about your lovely boy and I will miss seeing his smile.

I am comforted to know that Oscar will be greeted by many, many, many sheepies who have gone before him and will welcome him to Rainbow Bridge. I would like to think that Heart and Pearl will be one of the first to greet him as I always felt that, they would have been 'besties' here on earth given a chance to meet....

My thought, prayers, love and support are with you. And know that although we all loved our Oscar, he is now painfree, running and 'herding' all his friends and looking down on you and will be in your heart forever...I pray that the wonderful memories you made with him will give you comfort in the next heartbreaking months...Love Val
Thank you for your kind thoughts everyone. I know you all understand.

These guys go and just blow a giant hole in your heart. But we are better people for having cared for them.

Thanks for all of your support.

Laurie (missing Oscar)
 So sorry for Your loss.
:ghug:
So sorry to hear of Oscar's passing.

Laurie, you were Oscar's angel and took such good care of him.
He's now at the Bridge running fast and pain free.

RIP Oscar.
I am so sorry :( Oscar had so many health issues over the years, yet he had a blessed wonderful life because of all the loving tender care you gave him. He was a lucky boy.
:ghug: :ghug:
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Oscar, he's been with us so long, he felt like one of ours. I pray for you strength, during this very sad time.
Oh, Laurie! I'm so sorry to hear that Oscar has gone to the Bridge. Yes, most of us have been there and it's very, very difficult. You did so much to keep Oscar comfortable through all his health issues and he gave you his unconditional love. You were both equally blessed to have the love of each other. My thoughts go out to you.

:ghug:
So sorry to hear this. Oscar will be missed :ghug: :ghug:
I'm so sorry to hear of Oscar's passing.
I was in awe of all the work and care you gave him.
Wishing you a peaceful heart and happy memories. :ghug:
I so appreciate all of the thoughts and well wishes. This is going to take some time, but all of the virtual hugs help.

Laurie
Your care for your big boy was exceptional, your devotion unwavering.
I am so very sorry, Laurie.
:ghug:
Oh Laurie..
I am so sorry to hear this.
Run free sweet Oscar.

:hearts: :hearts: Thank you for your support during this difficult time. :hearts: :hearts:

We are still trying to adjust to a post-Oscar life. We both still panic at his scheduled meal and med times, so it is going to take some time to decompress from the constant vigilance of keeping Oscar healthy. Our schedules revolved around his for years, and with his DM this year, one of us had to be home at all times. After 23 years of marriage, we have to get used to going out together! I think this was Oscar's last gift to us.

Hug your puppies tight for me.

Laurie
I'm so sorry. :(

:ghug:
I am so sorry to read of Oscars passing
Laurie, I'm so sorry about Oscar. Their absence really throws your life into turmoil. I know Bob is hanging with him, and that my mom is giving him treats.
I am so sorry for your heartbreak.
:ghug: :ghug: :ghug:
:hearts: :hearts: Thank you, everyone. :hearts: :hearts:

Laurie
Laurie, I'm seeing this for the first time now. My heart is broken for you. I've known Oscar since he was a pup. He's had a rough go of it. But he had the best mom in the world. You made his life a very happy one. I can't even express how sorry I am. Hugs. If you need me, just call.
