Dudley 7/30/2003-11/2/2015

Once again I am writing through tears. This past Monday we helped Dudley cross over the bridge and again it was sudden and unexpected. This past Friday Dudley was slow getting up and down and having trouble with the two small steps in and out of our yard. By Sunday he was incontinent and miserable. On Monday morning he refused to eat and we knew it was time. Our vet also confirmed our decision. He was always "large and in charge" and he no longer was. We think he missed his brother Oscar more then we realized and decided it was time to join him. We miss him terribly and our house is so empty without any dogs. Now just three cats until our next sheepie comes our way.

I am so sorry. It is difficult enough to lose one pup, so the universe just seems especially cruel to have you lose another so soon. They were both very lucky boys to have landed with you.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dudley. The loss of this sweet boy so close to the other loss makes it more painful, I've been there. Strength to you during this difficult time.

Losing one is torture enough, losing two close together has to be like hell on earth. Hold fast to your memories, and know that he is now running free and out of pain. :ghug:

Once again I would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts. I can't tell you how empty our house feels right now with no dogs.

Oscar, Dudley and their mom, Millie are all together now, as they were in life. We really miss all of them, but know the right decisions were made.

Waiting for the next sheepie to cross our path and again thanks to everyone for their thoughts.
