Ways to keep OES puppy busy?

My OES is 4 months. Please share ways to keep this guy occupied! Chew bones, walks, and fetch last a short while!

Obedience training! Your pup will get trained and get tired in the process. Working his brain will help tire him out. You can do short sessions several times a day.
training is the way to go- you are tiring out the brain AND the body. A bored herding dog is a mischievous herding dog!
You were given a lot of great suggestions. It is hard to keep a single dog busy, so last year I adopted two puppies within a month of each other and this year I adopted the last puppy I will have in my life. The 3 of them keep each other entertained. My older dog even has a new lease on life and love to play with them. One of the items that my dogs love to play with and it keeps them busy for along time is empty water bottles. Take the label off and the top off with the ring and throw those away, just give him the bottle. It crinkles and crunches and they play with it by themselves for long periods of time. I know Petco has an hour each Saturday that you can bring your puppy their and they have play time with other puppies. Mickey Finn liked that and always went home tired. His Obedience class was right after it and if things slowed down there he would go to sleep. The puppy playtime is free. You can also look into puppy daycare, they might have times when you just bring your dog for an hour and let him play. It is great for socialization.
Thank you for the great suggestions, everyone! He's improving with each day. He also loves a little bit of peanut butter hidden in a kong. Keeps him busy for awhile.

Another good use of the kong in terms of giving your pup some fun is to fill the kong with plain yogurt, then cover up the big hole with a bit of plastic wrap. Turn it upside down so that all of the yogurt ends up next to the plastic. Pop it in the freezer and a few hours later give it to your pup (taking the plastic off first, of course). My girls love it and it tires them out working away to get the frozen yogurt out. Extra nice on a hot day. Of course, it does result in yogurt kisses, so you might have to wash his face afterward!
