Semi-Annual Brazilian Music Concert (Tues. 4/14/2015)

It's time again for the semi-annual Samba Laranja concert! This group (based out of Syracuse University) will bring you Brazilian drumming, singing and dancing next Tuesday, April 14th, at 8 pm Eastern time. Not only am I performing, but the opening number is a piece I originally wrote during a residency at an area high school. It is also included on the Pathways CD, which won a SAMMY award just last month!

This concert is live-streamed (for free), so you are all welcome to tune in. A couple of you have watched previously, and noticed the webcast quality was . . . . meh. Well, SU has (finally!!) upgraded the streaming feed for the hall! So if you do tune in, you’ll have a much better view and sound than in previous years. Here’s the link: http://riverbendmedia.com/jwplayer/syr.html

The link goes live a few minutes before the performance starts. Hope you can tune in!

And in case you were wondering, there actually is a sheepie connection to the group. Benson is our official Samba Laranja Mascot, and walks in the Westcott Street Fair Parade with us every fall!
