flea medicine

just used simple guard 3 on my 17 week old pup. Vet prescribed it to me. I found it difficult to apply to skin via fluff everywhere. Any good ideas or will I just gety better with time?

you can try taking a hair comb like you would use and create a part, so to speak, and you will get better with time. Never heard of what you used. Is it new?
I just googled this as I have not heard of it. Not impressed. seems like a lot of bad reactions on dogs.....http://www.topix.com/forum/city/utica-n ... BGTLHPA4F7
google it and you get all kinds of stuff. I worked at a vet office, they get kickbacks from the drug manufacturers and mine said it was always a good thing to wait until its been on the market for a while to see what kind of reactions there were. I have used advantage & frontline and never had an issue with either. Just make sure you watch your baby for redness etc. if you have problems bathe in dawn two or three times and give a benadryl. Then call a lawyer.
Yipes! Let's hope all is well. We are Frontline people, still works for us. As for application, just dig down as far as you can and squirt. Rarely I see actual skin but I know I'm close. then I have to remember not to pet them on that spot for a couple of days.
I got the Soresto collars again this year for my babes. Steel is not growing every 5 seconds now so I spent the money for him too. Last year I had to get the liquid gook month by month based on his weight. These are flea and tick. Good for 8 months, water proof and a God send. No remembering and no mess. No reactions on any of them. I can safely say they work as I live in a wooded area and it is filled with all types of creatures big and small and last year Sonny and Skye were bug and egg free! Yay! Heck, sometimes I think my house is an insect sanctuary. Skye thinks it's her job to be a fly swatter - she isn't prejudice....she will chase all flying, jumping, moving insects and mouth them. My windows don't have a prayer. Slobbered to the max. Kinda cute though when she looks like she is doing a dance in mid air when in reality she is trying to herd a lady bug! My princess. Sorry for the tangent!
