tomorrow spring begins..........sorta

The other day I was grooming Kdog and found some nasty spots. I could easily clip them apart and bust them open but it is spring and time for the unveiling. She washes her tongue all over her legs---"sometimes the only way to get rid of this peanut butter is to lick it off", picks up all the twigs in the back field, "is that a tumbleweed under me?", sprinkler days are here (she is not a water hound but is curious).....so tomorrow is the only free day for the next week. Also time to see what is really underneath, what with all her fatty cysts and such. I'll miss the top knot, the shaggy butt rubs, the romping yak but will love seeing the "sleek" fat greyhound again. Won't make her nekkid but will be pretty short. She'll be fuzzy puppy by summer. Maybe now she'll start cuddling again, "Hey, it's chilly in here!!"

She may well fancy more snuggles with a shorter do. :aww:
I wouldn't mind at alll if you copied the Dr. Suess look and then you can keep the ever precious top knot!!! It takes me less time to do his hair than it does my daughter's! Just like a normal person, only the hair on his head and a quick brush through his tail. He does seem to snuggle quite a bit more and since this short "do" is new to me I am on guard for matts so I check him when we are nuggling and none to be had so far so piece of cake. A bit of a warning... He does seem to evoke laughter from strangers but he did that before too so I'm not sure if that's the haircut or just him. Good luck with the cut and have fun snuggling!
Oh, I should have kept the top knot! I need to take the comb and scissors and go over her again, some tufts here and there, looks like her stuffing is coming out. I also shaved down the ears, not skinned, but short. Immediately her funky ears got better, they dry better without the weight and hair. She is sleeping on her mattress next to DH, not by the front door on the tiles, think she is cold at night. DH likes having her there. One night she came to my room and an tripped over her on the way to the bathroom..........she moved back to safety. She loves having her divot rubbed even more. (tail cavity) I also get to check her for lumps and bumps, being an older girl she has cysts. Found a new one near her foreleg. Miss Lump Lump.
