Music Awards! (And a little self-congratulation)

Hubby and I just got home from the SAMMY Awards (Syracuse Area Music Awards). Samba Laranja, the Brazilian Ensemble I perform in, just won our second SAMMY award, this one for the CD we released in the fall. And for the second time, I have a composition included on the CD. I'm very excited, for myself and for this incredibly fun and talented ensemble!

The ensemble directors are out of the country, so I also got to pop up on stage with one of our producers to accept the award. (Which is now sitting on my end table, where it will stay for a week or so. Hee-hee!) AND...I can now honestly say that I am a multiple-award-winning composer!
