Urinary Incontinence solutions?

Ok, I have a female OES 2 1/2 years old and she has urinary incontinence. I know it's because she's spayed. We've tried putting her on Proin which we have definitely seen improvement but she has decided she doesn't like it anymore. She even picks it out of her food and treats and spits it out. Right now I am crumbling the pill into her food but I know she isn't getting all of it. Also, I don't want to rely on this forever. Is there something else more natural we could try? Her doctor hasn't really suggested any other options.

I can't help with the urinary incontinence but I use a teaspoon of peanut butter for giving meds.
Dogs looove it, it seems to have a strong enough flavour that it masks the med and once you stick the med in a blob the dog can't get it out so its eat the lot or get nothing.
I am also no help with the incontinence.... nothing on the internet? There has to be something! Maybe an exercise that would help build a muscle??? BUT when Steel had his liver thing, gastropexy going on when he first came home he was taking 3 or 4 meds 3 times a day. It wasn't so much the taste he didn't like, it was the amount and the frequency. I ended up having to just put them down his throat. A lovely thing I learned from my mom way back in the day. Difference was she was doing it to a dachshund. It is rather alarming doing it to a OES as it looks like your arm is disappearing but the whole pill IS being taken FOR SURE! You have to get it past the back of their tongue, past the gag reflex and down part of their throat or they will be able to push it right back out again. If you are only doing one pill it should be a snap. Hold it between your thumb and your pointer finger and get it as far back as you can and then use your thumb to keep pushing. Hold the mouth shut until you see her swallow just in case you didn't get it back far enough. Sounds much worse than it is.
Im a big essential oil believer
I just read about
Young Living Essential oils
They have one called Copaiba Essential Oil.
Look t up sounds to be promising

Good Luck
I've assumed you've had a complete physical work up as some health issues may cause incontinence such as diabetes or adrenal problems. What about an Xray? Our vet found some malformation in a greyhound bitch that was causing the problem and with surgery, the problem was solved.

Splash was our leaky sheepie. Nothing really worked, Proin and something else combined helped a lot but we had her in diapers for about 5 years;the doggie bitch thingy (female doggie wrap from KVVet.com is pretty close) with an incontinence pad inside. Splash's was blue denim and blended quite well with her blue-gray coat.
