Walking more then one dog at a time.

So I walk my sheepies for about a mile a day. This is too get them in that calm submissive temperament. However, when I walk Oliver he is on a gentle leader (5yrs). He has not been a problem, now we add Charlotte to the mix. She is a puppy, she is on a reg collar. She is so naughty. She tries to always be in the lead and jumps and tries to wrestle with Oliver while on our walk. This behavior is not a healthy one for me with her tugging and jerking on the leash she has thrown my back out! Any suggestions?

Seems to me that Charlotte is the one who should be on the GL. Oliver knows how to walk and behave, put the GL on the one who doesn't and teach them. Pretty simple really. We had a puppy, Caitlyn who was unruly for about one day as the result of a GL and proper training. She fell in line with her adopted big sis Zoey in no time. Zoey was properly trained well before Caitlyn showed up, so your situation is very much like ours was. Get on in now while you can.
