Why does my Yo-Yo sneak/creep slowly inside when called?

Yo-Yo is my soon to be 8 month old sheepie boy. For a long time now, when it is time to come in after spending a while in the back yard when either my mother, especially her, or I call him in he begins this low "slow creep" to the door, no matter how far he is away, like he is crouching to ambush prey. What is going through his little mind to do this hilarious act? He also has the annoying habit of jumping and nipping when he gets bored when I am outside or he noticed a shoe or sweat pants leg when inside or I am transporting clothes from the laundry in a basket. He has been through puppy obedience and although knows "sit" and "down" has been requested to repeat beginner obedience because of attention span. Are the two behaviors linked at all? He also attacks sweeping brooms and mopping mops, I've tried diversion without much success, I love him dearly, but I'm at my wit's end with ideas, the creeping's hilarious, but nipping, jumping and providing wounds on my diabetic legs isn't funny.

When can't speak to all, but I had a girl who attacked brooms, mops, vacuums (silly thing could latch on almost like riding the Hoover). For her it was the movement on the floor........herding action in overdrive. You have to train that out of him with patience (while trying not the laugh). That same mop attacker would also chew on my shoes when we'd play......always made sure my shoes were tough enough. Other sheepies didn't have this motion drive.......oh wait, MO did with snow thrown off a snow shovel or the goop being thrown down while cleaning the gutters. silly dogs. Others haven't had extreme herding in their psyche. Yeah the crouching is to ambush, don't tolerate it. When he comes in quickly, reward-reward. Jumping and nipping is just repetition training......he's in the brat stages and trying to gain dominance. You have to double down on your obedience at every moment. He must learn you are in charge.......and love him when he's a good boy.

That pretty much sums it up -- though it's pretty had to do sometime. :- )
