Beautiful~~~~~ Enjoy !!!!!!! and....Happy New Year!!!!![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Looks good. Do you have any before pics? |
No before pics, but just picture cheap builder's oak cabinets with Formica countertops. The cabinets were so thin I could not drill a screw in for a paper towel holder. The countertops were almond and worn. White appliances (I wish I had gotten white appliances instead of stainless). Crummy stainless double sink, but no disposal. Just a generic, low quality kitchen. |
Looks very nice and I have a Kitchen Aid mixer that's over 40 years old. Works wonderfully. |
It's beautiful! I'm so glad it was worth the wait.![]() ![]() ![]() |
Yeah, ss appliances are a PIA to keep clean. I find just plain soap/water and a fresh towel work better than any cleaner.......microfiber cloth better. Read you appliances manual carefully, they will tell you. I was messing with polishes but found the book and read, silly me. You dishwasher has controls inside, wish I had done that as Kdog and I keep turning on the dishwasher by brushing against it. Curious about your sink, since it is not by a window........friend has one and when sun shines in onto the sink, it is like a lighted undercabinet, the light shines through to below. I like the paint color, light cabinets, neat counter color and the neutral floor, all very nice. And done by Christmas!! |

I use Weiman's stainless cleaner/polisher and have a dedicated microfiber cloth. My friend's sister used to clean houses and swears by this. Eventually enough polish will build up on the cloth so I won't need to spritz. And yes, I have to clean the whole thing or you see streaks. Susan, it was a requirement for the dishwasher that the controls be hidden. However, it is designed so you can see the minutes remaining in the cycle by peering down. It is very cool! Mine does not have a stainless interior. That was $400 more and I figured I could live without it. It is very quiet. The second time I used it I was convinced it was broken because I heard no noise. I haven't noticed any translucency about the sink. There are sliding patio doors across from it in the dining room so there is some light. I love having a single sink. There is no disposal so I figured why have a double sink? The floor is original to the townhouse. It's ceramic so I am not chipping that up. |
It looks lovely! Too clean, though, I need to send my girls over to press their noses against all that shiny stainless steel! |
Paula, it is gorgeous. Your paint color really sets it off too. So glad it came together after all the pain, and in time for Christmas!!! So what did you prepare as your inaugural meal?? |
Very pretty. Many years to enjoy cooking in your beautiful kitchen. |
Beautiful! Cindy |
Brenda, the day it was installed I ended up in the doctor's office at 5:30 to have an infected cyst lanced on my forehead! I believe I had popcorn for dinner that night. |
Very nice Paula! I really like the natural cabinets. So pretty! |
Looks great!! Just missing dog nose spots on the stainless ![]() |
