Apparently road kill is now a delicacy.

We walked the pups yesterday afternoon. Weather was beautiful.

On the way home I noticed Brick was lagging.
I looked back and noticed that he had a dead, flattened bird in his mouth. 8O
Who knows how long it was sitting in the road.

I was shaking feathers out of his mouth for half a block.

Silly Airedale.

Oh no, road kill is delicious, but the feathers do tickle one's throat! Most dogs love to dine at the Road Kill Café. There's always horse apple pie for dessert.
You have to watch them every minute. The stinkier the treat the better.
Don't think we have to worry about it this time of the year but, West Nile Disease has been a big killer of birds around here the last couple of years. Of course any animal that eats a diseased bird is also subject to infection. As tempting as it is to our furry friends, we have to careful to watch what they "pick up" along the way. ;- )
8O ......two words come to mind immediately....YUK....and GROSS!!!!

Why, oh why do they enjoy this activity so much. Monica is right....the stinker the better according to doggy 101. My 2 only seem to enjoy and relish the idea of rolling around in deer Sh*t they seem to be able to find whenever they go on their romps. By the time I catch up to them it is already too late.... :sidestep:
