A rare sighting

My dining room table, devoid of any clutter. This happens once in a blue moon so I felt the need to take a picture to prove it can be done:

No fair stacking on chair! LOL! Yes, I was amazed when I cleared off mine to put on Christmas tablecloth........what did I find? Two tablecloths underneath! Vinyl with cloth backing apparently in thought of confining spills.
Susan, the cloth hanging on the back of the chair is the dish dryer mat. Remember, I'm STILL doing dishes in the powder room and needed somewhere for it to dry. Usually my purse is on the table.
ARGH! That's right. forgot. House is amazing for work being done, mine was a disaster. Table appreciates the freedom for awhile
You are an inspiration to us all. I don't even remember what kind of table I have. I am determined, though, to get it sorted this weekend. Now that I have publicly declared that, perhaps shame and embarrassment will be enough motivation to actually do it. I know that I should be self-motivated, but I have given up on that notion and use whatever I can to get me tidying. Amazing how David doesn't suffer like I do. I honestly don't think that he even notices the ever growing mountain on the table. If I ever get another house, I WILL have a proper foyer or mudroom so that everything doesn't end up on the table. We had an unexpected guest last night and David let him go in that room!! What was he thinking!!!
My method for decluttering is to take EVERYTHING off the table and put into paper bags. If I need something I will dig it out of the bag. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with the table and the only way to ease my anxiety is to clear it all off. I feel so much better when that table isn't cluttered. However, some of the stuff is now on the seat of the chair that isn't seen....
Mine is in a bin under the table.
Very Festive!! ...and cleared!! :D
I'm just jealous of your table cloth. With two puppies this Christmas I can't use my table clothes. A certain young Aussie likes to grab the end of the table cloth and pull like a magician to see if the table cloth will come off and leave the stuff still on the table. So far it's been a fail, so all table clothes are put away for the duration. I am using runners and placemats instead, but do miss my table clothes Your table looks very pretty..
Ha!!! I totally wasn't thinking when I put the Xmas tablecloth on the kitchen table. Silly, silly me....forgot there was a puppy in the house. Found the tablecloth and 2 of the placemats down the hall in one of my son's room.....then got the infamous head tilt from Gunner saying "What do you mean?..... that's not another one of my toys?....are you sure about that??!!??"
:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: Nice job, Paula! :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:

And for all you puppies out there who might be wondering, tablecloths ARE toys! (Says someone who has a senior whose attitude about tablecloths is "Eh, It's Not Food".) :)
