Potential risk of topical flea treatments

I don't use them, but I would be very reluctant to use them now:

Some of the comments at the end of the story bring up good points.
There isn't enough detail in the article to base a decision on.

However I WILL say that Zeke had a bad skin reaction to Vectra 3D, which has permethrin as its active ingredient.
:? Yes, I used something similar on my first two oeses,
it contained the same poison you find in Ex spot,
I think it was called Scalibor.

They both got bad wounds on their necks, after some time.
Very similar as in this video - not that bad.......and o'course...
......I took the collars off.
My vet told me it could be because they had been
swimming in the ocean with it - the cobination with
salt water and tick collar wanted me to try it again
and then keep my dogs dry.

No way I would try the collars on any animal again.........
the wounds took weeks and months to heal. :evil:
