Coconut Oil

| Hi there! I mix in one half teaspoon of Tresomega Nutrition Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil in my puppy's food everyday. I also give her a thin layer of warmed oil on her fur after a bath. You have to start slow when incorporating coconut oil in food so you don't upset dogs tummy. Half a teaspoon to start, then do that for 2 weeks..... after you can add one teaspoon. That is usually enough for full grown dog but I know a lady that gives her lab 3 teaspoons a day. Since OES's are prone to tummy upset I will not be giving more than one teaspoon when she is full grown. My puppy is 4 months old right now and this half teaspoon doesn't cause tummy upset and she doesn't itch even though I bathe her frequently. |
