Goofy question about a 'leaky' dog...

OK, so we've all probably had a dog, (or have read posts about us who have) with a UTI and the 'leaking' that goes along with it. What does one do when a dog leaks from the other side??? Our Zoey has leaving what we've begun calling 'nuggets' behind after a long sleep. We've not changed anything in our routines, if anything, Jen and i are home at a slightly closer time in the evenings now that she's changed jobs and leaves there at a decent time. When Zoey goes outside, any and every time, she's given all the time she wants to do what ever she wants. We never put them out in the yard and make them come back in; we always let them in when they tell us they want back in.

Any thoughts or similar experiences?
Vance and Zoey...

nuggets are often due to diminished nerve sensation. This may be just old age or a specific problem like pinched nerve are spinal arthritis. They have no sensation they are doing it and would be mortified if they knew. Had several "gift givers" as they got older...........and the gifts got bigger. Near the end it was "torpedo alert."
She's only just over 6... I'm wondering if a brisk walk before bedtime might not help at least for the overnight deposits.

Yes, a walk might help. Also are you feeding low residue diet? Maybe she needs a bit more bulk so her body senses the mass?
Good point about the food. She's eating ProPlan Sensitive Skin and Stomach as she does have a fairly sensitive tummy.

   Kdog was curious about the Fiber Choice tablets DH and I take in the morning so I gave her one thinking the citrus flavor would cause her to spit it out.   Nope, now when she hears the bottle she comes running. Needless to say, she is having jolly good poops. It's one way to add fiber to their diet. Have you tried pumpkin or cooked sweet potato? That adds bulk and is mild.
I sort of remember a couple years ago Ron having a similar problem, and I think he had some good results
with giving extra fiber. I remember only because I was having that same problem with our Tucker when I
read it. Unfortunately Tucker's problem was from muscle and nerve degeneration and he was beyond help.
I am horrible at searching, but I'm sure it's here somewhere. I get too distracted and the next thing you know
I onto something totally not even dog related...
