Am I doing something wrong on the boards?

I am laid up with a post op infection that just goes on and on-I have my faithful nurse maid Sprocket to keep me company, he won't hardly leave me-just a very quick visit to the garden and back to me complete with leaves etc that Terry hadn't noticed!! Anyway, It says I am "loged in" and the board index shows me there are things to look at- I have gone back quite a few years now on them but there is no "new" items to read. Is it that I am doing something wrong or is it just the fact that like me when I was well-didn't have time to come on the boards? Folk did respond about Dougal so that "worked" ok-guess I am just bored and in pain!!! Allyson.x :wag: :tea:

So sorry to read about your confinement. And in pain too 8O 8O :ghug:

I agree that things are quieter here now, my guess is other social media impacts. But, you should see a few new posts occasionally. Do you find anything under "unread posts" tab? I catch up that way sometimes. Log in And out might help. Sorry, all I have are very basic suggestions

Hope you are feeling better each day, sounds like you have the best nurse ever :yay:
I haven't been posting much lately, got a bit jaded with all kinds of social (or anti-social) media, although I do enjoy following what others are doing. I do use Facebook sometimes but I prefer the format of these forums. I find I can follow a particular thread more easily. On Facebook it just seems like a wall of posts. Did the pictures problem get solved? I think that was keeping some folks away.
It is much quieter here.

I've assumed everyone is using Facebook which I don't have.
I'm like Kim, I didn't like the format.

I post less now that I'm back to full-time work but there are less posts to reply to as well and its harder to get to know new members as a result.

Hope you get better soon. :crossed:
Hello, Best answer being as it was me that started this!! I don't know how to "work" FB, I am on it as we get various notifications of rock + roll gigs, our racing dates and our daughter puts daily photos of MY twins and their antics on there. They are 1 tomorrow and Sprocket is 3 today-think I will do a "new post" saying so being as Sue doesn't go on here (waste of time, not like FB!!) so won't upset her-last year she took the Friday off work to be home for Dougal's second birthday but went into labour at only 27 weeks-the birth of MY twins (they are mine, I just let her look after them is the family joke) so this year for the day before their birthday she is morning the fact that we had to take him to the vets a week before he was 3. Sorry, got a bit carried away again. So sad for her and I got Sprocket on the chair licking my ear saying "time to go lay down again mum". He does look after me. I don't know how to post photos-have enough trouble getting them off camera as to old for laptop!! Allyson.x :bdcake2: :wag: :tea: :ghug:
