What a bonus

I don't post often but had to since I know everyone would "get it" here......

My whirlwind weekend of great things began with a excellent dressage lesson Saturday morning with a trainer from Sweden who had me and my horse do beautiful canter work like never before.

Sunday morning had an 8 am half marathon in which I had a personal record time and took 3rd in my age group which I never expected. Then back to ride that afternoon with the trainer again. Another great lesson!

But the VERY BEST part of the the weekend was that at mile 3 of my half marathon who do I see cheering on all the runners as we go by??????? :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I can't believe my eyes but it is the cutest, happiest SHEEPIE ever. :hearts: :hearts: I wish I had my camera then. I really wanted to stop and say hi to him but I was on a mission. It really made my day!!!!

Indeed it was a mission or you would have stopped for "sheepie kisses." I applaud your busy and healthful weekend :go:

I pretty much sat on my arse collecting entrance fees for church festival, getting sunburned (who had time to reapply sunscreen??) or stuffing face with lamb. If it hadn't been for singing vespers I would have never stood up. Not a healthy weekend. Kdog has my interests at heart and insists we be outside today as much as possible. She's beside me again...........time to go look for feral cats...........again.
Gail, I'm a dressage-er also. Who was the Swedish trainer????? Do you have a picture of your horse? My late great Bob was half TB, half QH (officially registered Appendix) and moved like nobody's business. He had natural collection and like to show off his passage in the pasture.
What a fun weekend

I love reading about members' fun with pets outside our beloved OES. And healthy, you go girl :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :roses: :roses: :roses:

The sheepie in the crowd was the proverbial cherry on top! :excited: :excited:
The trainer was Ann Gribbons and this is the 2nd year I have ridden with her. She brings the best out of you and your horse! here are a few pics if I do this right....

me and my boy Vreerk
Anne Gribbons is a wonderful rider and teacher. How fortunate you are. Is your horse in a double? What level do you ride?
I am at 3rd level but we ride in a snaffle. Those is a double are at 4th and PSG (Pre Saint George)
I thought you were in a double in the last picture, but upon closer inspection you are on a lunge line. Anyway, what a wonderful experience for you. I miss riding so much and miss my boy even more.
