Need to Re-home my OES

I hate posting this, and I'm not sure it belongs here, but I have an OES that needs to be re-homed. We are a military family and will be living overseas for the next several years and will not be able to bring out beloved Palin with us. She is not in any danger, as we would never let any harm come to her, but we do need to re-home her.

We currently live in Tucson, AZ. Palin is a healthy and happy 4 yr old, she is spayed and current on all her shots. If you can help out or know anyone that is interested in adopting a very fun OES please get in contact with me. She is happy just being lazy around the house most of the day, house broken, and she's about 90lbs and loves to chase balls. Very good with other dogs and children

I don't know how to post pictures, otherwise I would post some pictures. PLEASE message me if you can help

Haven't figured how to send private message yet. I have three older rescued Old English and would love to have a youngster to love and play with. Email locoworks@aol.com if you would like your sheepie to be welcomed into a wonderful home overflowing with love and affection.
Best regards,

I would suggest you contact Midwest OES Rescue for help in rehoming Palin. Their web address is http://moesr.org/

As a matter of fact, one of their placement directors is a member of this board. Nita (screen name of Maggie McGee IV) can be reached via a private message thru this board. The link to her inbox is ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&u=832

I don't know if MOESR covers Illinois, but they could help you find the right rescue group if they do not.

Good luck.
There is also So Calif OES Rescue. It's actually your closest OES 501 C3 rescue. I got Kdog through them. You might have to help with transporting her at least part way to So. Calif. Jane Dempsey is the contact. Website with phone and email is http://www.oesrescue.com

There's also a lady in Phoenix who does OES rescue. Pat Wolter. Phone number I have is 602-569-9448

Is the dog in Illinois or Arizona?
Oh, that was my bad. I missed where it said they were living in Tucson, AZ.
I just looked at the location in the avatar section.
Susan is correct.
Sorry.
We're in AZ right now. We lived in Illinois when we first got her, but I don't know how to change my settings. I'll get in contact with both of those rescues. Thank you very much!
Update on this posting. This dog has been placed with Old English Sheepdog Southwest Rescue and adopted already. The referral to the OES breed rescue in the area was the correct response. Information on OES breed rescue by state is readily available on the Old English Sheepdog Club of America (OESCA)website and on the New England Old English Sheepdog Rescue (NEOESR) website. If you cannot find a rescue in the state where you live, contact someone in the state closest to you for advice and assistance or some involved in rescue off the OESCA or NEOESR websites. Do NOT put your dog up for adoption through sites like Rescue Me or Craigslist. Many OES turning up in rescues because they were obtained cheaply or for free and the people have no OES experience and are not capable of caring for an OES for a variety of reasons. OES breed rescues are also the best place for anyone looking for an OES to adopt one. If your state does not have a breed rescue group, large organizations such as NEOESR actually have OES located all over the country in foster homes.
