Introducing Blueshire's Louisiana Lagniappe!!

Meet Nonc!!:

Nonc is a Blueshire pup born on April 4th and he came to live with me here in Washington, DC last Friday. Amber was kind enough to meet me in Buffalo and he had a great trip back home charming everyone along the way, including the TSA agents. He's a great pup!

Congrats on your new boy.
He's adorable.
Interesting name. Does it mean anything?

Amber raises great dogs. You will totally enjoy him.

Is this one of Gracie's pups?
Mark,

Thanks! He is one of Gracie's pups. Nonc means uncle in Louisiana Acadian French. It was always one of my favorite words when I lived in Louisiana.
I love his name and he's a beautiful pup. I know you'll have many years of sheepie love with him.
He is a cutie! Love his name! :hearts:
Hi Monica,
Gracie is owned by David & Kim, who happen to be regulars on this forum (screen names = Baba, and Mady).
David & Kim also own Mady, Gracie's older sister, and Virginia, Gracie's and Mady's mother. Which would make Virginia one of Nonc's grandmothers.

Many on this forum know Gracie, Mady, and Virginia personally. We can attest how great they are. We all love those 3.
Helen and Karen - thanks for the compliments. I'm having a great time with him.

Mark -Sounds like Nonc has a lot of relatives whose antics I can follow on the forum. Thanks for the heads up!
Gracie, being a bilingual Canadian, worked hard to teach her pups to bark in English and French, so Nonc should fit in well with a family with Louisiana French connections! I hope that you post many pictures of Nonc. If you ever find yourself in Ottawa please let us know-we would love to meet up. I am very proud of how well Gracie did at being a mother and will be thrilled if we get to see pictures of her pups growing up. Gracie is back to being Gracie now. She was in a fun agility match today, and enjoyed bossing David around the agility course. Maybe Nonc will take after his mama and do sheep herding and agility. He already takes after her in being adorable! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
I agree he is adorable and he is already showing talent in herding...my poor cat. He is has a large personality and loves to meet people. He can hardly take a bathroom break for trying to meet all the folks who think he's cute. I'll try to capture and post photos of him often so you can check him out as he grows and will let you know if I get to Ottawa so I could meet you all.

Wonderful! Amber has cats, so Nonc would have had practice already herding cats (and kids!). And David has an uncle where you live, so you never know, you might get a call for a play date one day!
Welcome Nonc!

And congratulations on your beautiful Blueshire puppy. We will all look forward to watching him grow and his adventures. Gracie is a wonderful girl :hearts: and her pups will be very special.

Welcome! He is gorgeous! :aww: My Sam is a Blueshire too. He just turned 1 on April 3rd. Amber is awesome! I must admit that I'm a little jealous that you have one of Gracie's pups. If only I had been ready for another one already.
