SheepiePaloozites!! Get your Bidding Paddles ready!!
Sooooooo, in just 37 days, we will all be at the Purina Farms picnic and auction fundraiser. The very worthy rescue recipient of the rambunctious, outrageous and crazed bidding this year is Midwest OES   Rocky and I are greatly honored to be chairing this year's fun, frantic, fabulous and freakin awesome auction. As in the past, please bring your items to St. Louis. Please PM me with your item(s) or post a pic here. I just need to know what we have to offer in advance if possible, thanks. Some may wonder what to bring, so in the past, we have had very generous and unique items. Hair accessories, bling, glitz, books, socks, carvings, weathervane(thank you Karen), lawn flags, chairs, shoes, gear bags, airline vouchers, etc. So, anything is needed and much appreciated for the cause of helping sheepies in need. If you would like to donate and cannot attend, please PM me and I'll make sure the item gets to St. Louis. Unless its a puppy, of course, and all promises are void  This year, the event will offer traditional bidding as well as raffle specific items. You can purchase them or win them!  Which brings us to bidding paddles! This year, you will need to bring your own unique paddle. The most outrageous, zany, creative, themed, musical or whatever bidding device you choose, will be entered to win raffle tickets!! It's all in the spirit of fun, and picture taking  And sooo, it's ON  Get your items together, and craft those winning paddles...Sheepiepalooza 2014 is just around the corner! Maybe you two could at least TRY to chill this year? Everyone so appreciates the hard work that goes into making Sheepieooza the success that it is. It would be great if there was time to just relax and visit with everyone.  |
| For anyone who does not have a paddle, you can borrow a generic Sheepdog paddle for the auction from our St. Louis group. In the meantime I have an idea  in my head for an auction paddle but don't know if I will have time to make it. Mine will NOT be dipped in glitter like someone else's paddle. Someone who loves the sparkly (ahem you know who you are).  |
FINALLY......I have witnesses to the fact that I do not start these 'silly' remarks...... ....BUT, all my friends know I must END them......  I would like to tell you a little story... It begins about 2 weeks ago when Ms. Judi and I went out for our birthday celebrations AND to take our dogs on their VIRGIN trip together as a threesome......It was a lovely day, the sun was shining, the breeze was cool, and, as we tooled down to the CWE, we chatted about nothing...THEN... we BOTH stopped, eyed each other and began talking at once about ..... MY fabulous idea, to WIN the auction paddle contest... no....no... HER GREAT idea..... BUT Judi stated she would NOT reveal what her concoction would be... AND..... She presumed that I, me, myself, would stoop so low as to use my magical fairly dust to cast a spell on all the participants at Sheepiepalooza to praise MY paddle the 'fairest in the land of LOU!!!!!! After much discussion, we both thought it best to change this rather delicate subject...lest we ruin our birthdays... (((I KNEW she was just waiting, sneaking, stealthing in the shadows to leap out at me....and in my most secure, comfy, place.....MY FORUM.....)))))) Well, since I am just tinge older than her, I guess it is my duty to rise above her post....and say nothing...to just ignore it... And that is what I am doing.... EXCEPT, to say....WOWOW...I CANNOT WAIT FOR YOU TO SEE MY WONDERFUL, MAGICAL, MEMORIZING, SPECTACULAR  |

| NO sparkle (I have Hairy BOYS, after all!), but I finally do have my paddle idea!! I do need to find time and remember to actually make it though. |
