Squiggy (you know the short one of Lenny and Squiggy)

I saw David L Landers (Squiggy) on TV the other night. No, not in a rerun of Laverne and Shriley, but in his offical capacity as a Major League Baseball scout. He is currently the scout for the Seattle Mariners, who were in town playing against the Boston Red Sox.

So how did he become an MLB scout after being an actor?

"Actually," David said, "The real question is 'How did I become an actor after being involved in baseball?' "

David explained that he was already a baseball writer while attending college. He had teamed up with Michael Mckean (Lenny) performing skits of essentially these two characters for fun. One day they got a call from Penny Marshall asking if they would like to do the Lenny and Squiggy role on the show.

Ahh the wealth of useless information!! Did you also know that one of Radars' hands on *M*A*S*H* is deformed...I forget which one, but you can tell if you watch the show because he is always holding a clip board or something....

And regarding baseball, nothing personal, BUT I am so sick of hearing about it....My boss is an ex major leaguer from the Chicago White Sox...every day for 13 yrs...bla, bla, bla.... :D
Look out Ron! I hear Penny Marshall is talking to Madonna & Rosie O'Donnell to play for the Red Sox!!

Love the new avatar! What a great do!

Of course the reason I thought about this was because of Mulligan's "Squiggy curlycue" on his forehead. But did you also know that David has Multiple Sclerosis (MS)?

As far as Gary Burghoff (Radar O' Reilly) goes, NO! I didn't know that. But I DO know that he drives a motorhome around. Gulfstream, I think.
*M*A*S*H* Was a great college drinking game...the first person to notice Radars hand got everyone else to drink....yeah, I know to much time doing other stuff and not enough time studying 8O Hence, my fantastic computer skills.....

He really drives a motorhome?
That's what I've seen. Apparently one-handed!

[slapping myself]
Wasn't David Landers in "A League of Their Own?" "There's no crying in baseball!"

VerveUp, love Frank's do. He looks very punk rocker.
I know Tom Hanks was the one who said "There's no crying in baseball!"

My sister has MS so I knew that Squiggy does too. Also Montel Williams.
It sucks that he has to live his whole life known only as "Squiggy."

Ron you're awful....lol
and Radar!! Hey, my home-ec teacher senior year in high school was Radars cousing!! Yup! Just some more useless infor!!!!!!!!

Karen
Radar has a "little hand". Think of the butler from Scary Movie 2, it's like that. http://www.haro-online.com/movies/scary_movie2.html See the second pic here.
Everytime one of my friends goes to give someone a hand, help them up whatever, they always use, "Take my little hand". (It's funny if you've seen the movie. And that's about the only funny part of the film.)

At least Squiggy is remembered as Squiggy. He could be getting that, you were on tv? instead.

And Ron, apparently Pedro is fitting in nicely now. Piazza hit a home run today and they have their own little celebration move. Aweeee, how cute.
