...we found a sock in the back yard....it looked like it made a successful trek through 'someone's inners' and saw sunshine again.....

We are joining the SSA (Sock Swallowers Anonymous) tonight.

I will be there to support this wayward sheepie, who has all the stuffies she could ever need or want....all the food and drink given to princes and princesses...and...all the love from many.....(((((where did we go wrong??????))))

I am heartily sorry for the alarm I have caused all of you....(AND MYSELF!!!!)

She is still feeling a little shakey...but I am hoping by tomorrow she will be much better...

So glad that it "came out all right in the end!" :sidestep:
Tim used to call it a "tummy virus" every time that Mopsy ate something she shouldn't have. Fortunately her palate was for paper not socks.

Run don't walk to SSA!
Sounded exactly like un UIO.......unidentified internal object....socks are high on that list. Good smells and tastes of mummy and daddy. Most dogs outgrow this, but not all. In mean time housekeeping will improve greatly. Friend's NEWF pulled this stunt and required a sockectomy.......so glad Willow's moved down and out!!
Glad you know the cause!! Be a good girl Willow and play with your stuffies--not socks!!
:phew: :phew:

Glad that she successfully expelled the trouble-making sock. Those darn things just beg to be eaten, lying around innocently like a snake in the grass....preying on the innocent

Sweet Willow, you will feel better soon :hearts:
All matters that she is well
So glad she's okay.
Hi Winkie,
Tiggy here. Don't be eating socks! As you've found they can get stuck and that's not fun.
I know you've already tried mobile phones. If they're not to your liking can I recommend more delicious and crunchy things like kitchen spatulas and your Mom or Dad's spectacles? I found them quite yummy and easily spit outable. Hope your tummy is settled now.
Love Tiggy :aww:
PS Mom was glad of the time difference, she missed out worrying.
So glad to hear that Willow's problem is solved. Now you just have to keep socks out of her reach.

Sometimes I swear that my mom has Taylor on her payroll because he makes us much neater/cleaner than we are naturally  He loves pens, pencils, anything paper, food on the counter and plants. 8)
Willow was still a little shakey last night..I fed her 2 tablespoons of hamburger and rice (I thought it was too soon, but Dino 'guilted' me ..."she looks soooo hungry...FEED HER", was his command, so, being a dutiful wife, I did. She threw up about 2 teaspoons of it. I had pumpkin, so I gave her a couple spoons and besides loving it...I think it settled her tummy. She had a better nights sleep and got up very hungry this morning..A full bowl of Hamburger and Rice, with a couple spoons of pumpkin, and good drink of water and it all stayed down!!!!!!!
:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:

Peeing good, but not pooping yet...so I think the worst is over....

Thanks again... :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
I seem to recall not too many years ago another pup that ate Dino's wallet. Maybe a few pairs of glasses and television remote controls? Sounds like history is repeating itself. Welcome to being a puppy mom again. :headbang: :aww: :excited: :excited:
Oh she sounds like my baby boy... always eating more than his belly can handle. Glad she is keeping her food down now. What a relief. :)
One of our Goldens had two emergency surgeries for eating tings he shouldn't. And a year threw up a sock. <sigh>
Our surgeon warned us that once an "eater," always an eater. And no matter how hard we tried to Ben-proof the house, he managed to find something.
He passed a lot of things that I never even realized he got into.
So good luck!
Glad Miss Willow woke up hungry and is on the mend!!

Nita
Yes the Heart did manage to eat odd things, HOWEVER, I never knew about it until she got caught in the act, OR, I saw it in the backyard..she NEVER had any problems like Willow....

I am enjoying this puppy stage minus the last 3 days, but...I am getting worn down FAST.....
8O Yikes! Glad Willow is okay.

I had to laugh when I read your last sentence. The puppy stage will pass quickly, thank God! :D

I still remember Oscar's first few months, as I stumbled around in a Diet Coke infused haze, trying to keep him from destroying the house. He was an incredibly active puppy, especially his bladder. 8) What he wasn't shredding, he was peeing on. For the first few months, I was up every two to three hours to get Oscar out to pee. Exhausting. Honestly, Oscar was so tough on me, I would be hard pressed to get another puppy. Ever. And I was 10 years younger last time around. :D

Our first OES, Quincy, spoiled us. After a few nights of being gated in the master bathroom, we realized that Quincy, at 12 weeks old, had never had a potty accident overnight. We gave him full run of the master bedroom/bathroom, and he never once peed between bedtime and first time out in the morning. During the day, while he was stimulated, and eating, and drinking, it was a different story of course. But I could handle it easily, because I was getting a good night's sleep every night.

Quincy was so easy as a puppy that I was wholly unprepared for the wrecking machine known as Oscar. Isn't it always the second child?? :D

Laurie and Oscar
So glad she passed the sock. At least she was able to 'wipe' herself at the same time.
Macie Grace 'finds' things and gets 'busy during the night. She helps herself to things on my nightstand, loves to destroy metal hairclips and leaves the pieces for me to step on, removes socks and only carries them around, (thank goodness she doesn't eat them) has chewed up a couple really expensive shoes and likes to go into my purse. And she is 2. She parades around, that know, that proud puppy walk, with something she shouldn't have. Ya gotta love em though. :hearts: :hearts:
Glad everything came "out" okay. Sorry, couldn't resist. Puppies, they sure will make sure you keep everything picked up and out of reach. And you still have to watch them every second!

So happy Willow is feeling better!

Cindy
Great news. Give her a hug
