Camera recommendation

I need a new point and shoot camera and would prefer to stay under $250. Don't need anything fancy, just reliable. I have a Nikon Coolpix L50 (about 5 years old) that just isn't good enough. Help me spend money...

I have an older model Panasonic Lumix that I just love. It's a DMC-Z6. They now have a DMC-25 I'd love to upgrade to. It has a Leica lens, 20x zoom, 16.2 megapixels. Also does wide angel and video recording. And it's on sale at Amazon for $169.99! I love my camera, easy to use, versatile, nice features and takes great, crisp photos! You can also adjust the aperture and shutter speed for nice effects.
Whatever you buy, you should look for the one with the best low-light capability you can afford.
The better the low-light capability, the less grainy the pics in low light without the flash. Besides, flashes just wash out whatever your subject is. You want to be able to shoot without the flash as much as possible.
To sum up, get a camera that has as fast of a lens as you can afford.
