Swagger got Best of Breed!

Just saw the tail, (get it?!?) of the Breed judging... Anyone able to say who the other placements were?

Also, a time for Group would be awesome!

One of the perks of being the IT guy is that i can watch this stuff at work

Just watched it! He's such a handsome boy. GO SWAGGER!

:wag: :wag: Congrats to both!

Watched it also! He's such a great looking dog! Go Swagger!!!
Good going both sheepies and handlers/owners!! :clappurple: :clappurple:
loved watching everyone in the ring. I just can't believe there were so few entrants!
Yeah, only 8 entries, did all show? Well, not the most popular breed.

no- only 5 showed. I was there just a few years ago, and I think there were close to 20 sheepdogs!
Woohoo!!! Tonight will be hound, toy, sporting & herding groups from 8-11p on CNBC (sob, I don't have that channel :( ).

Go, Swagger, go! :wag:
Sad that he didn't win the herding group. :(
Yes, it was sad. I had the order reversed from the judge.

In the first go around, did anyone notice the Border? He had head down, he wanted to herd those dogs in front of him, LOL!

Alas, please not another poodle or Peke as best in show. Would love something unusual like the deerhound was a couple of years ago.
email from my youngest;

I just have to tell you
That Faith is in NYC playing with SWAGGER at the dog show!!!!
I asked her to take his picture for me.

Her Spanish Water Dogs are a misc. breed and are being accepted in 2015 to Herding and will be allowed to compete in the 2016 Westminster!

How exciting!!!?!?!!?!?!?!

I was soooooooooooo sad to see he didn't win group. I literally was bummed the rest of the evening. Last time I was at a show, I saw a dog drop out purely because they said "they knew they didn't have a chance against Swagger." ...and they meant that in a positive way, not negative. I love him. :hearts:

I totally agree!! Time for a big dog!! :D
I was seriously bummed too when he got 4th. I yelled at the TV, lolol. Ramsey looked sad also. This was him after.

Why mom, WHY NOT MY SHEEPIE FRIEND SWAGGER!

It seems strange to me; one year you can be 2nd dog overall, and the next, not even take your Group. Or second in your group. FOURTH? It can't be that in 12 months time that many dogs improved over him.

I'll never understand show judging, I fear.
oh Ramsey you do look sad :)

Judging is rather personal and can depend on the ideas of perfection for that year of judging. I am not very interested in watching judging shows because of this but I do love to see a nicely groomed, healthy and well kept dog.

Swagger looks such a character from the video when he was on the news. That's what interest me seeing a beautifully groomed doggy with a happy fun personality getting up to antics. Swagger trying to sit on the anchors lap is hilarious.
