Tonks Hates Antiques Roadshow

Somehow, over the holidays, Tonks got really matted.

REALLY. MATTED. It's plain awful, and I feel horrendous about it.

It's too cold for us to shave her, and she's never been all that patient about line grooming and brushing. So I've promised myself I'd do a little bit every day. An hour every day, and I figure I can get through it in a week or so.

So I sit down the first day, turn on the tv (we're working on the couch), and I see Antiques Roadshow is about to start. That's an hour, and a good distraction. So I watch, I dematt, works out ok. The next day, I do it again. So on and so on. We're at about day 5, and we're close to done; just a few bad areas on her chest, and a ridge of awful knots along the bottom of one side remain. Tonight I told her to get on the couch, put on Antiques Roadshow, and at the end of the episode, THERE WAS ANOTHER EPISODE. Tonks heard the theme music start up a second time, and tried to bolt off the couch!!!!

So.... we come to the name of this thread: Tonks Hates Antiques Roadshow.

Smart girl!
Haha! What a smarty!! Congrats on getting near the end of the week of dematting. I think your plan was smart. We did a marathon neck-demat session Monday night (weekend collar @ grandma's) & I fell asleep on top of Lyra (on the living room floor).
What a smart girl! Whaaaat I know that music ...... I'm outta here! :D
I just hear her screaming in her head "oh no, hell no!" lol
 to Tonks on her patients.
:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:

Sheepies are soooo smart....it doesn't take them long to figure any thing out!!!!

:ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug:
That's what the mute button is for. Turn off the music at the beginning and Tonks will never know!
Too funny

It always amazes me how quickly they learn things, especially when it is to their advantage 8)
It'll be funny o see if it lasts; I often will throw on Antiques Roadshow in the background if I'm sewing or cooking; I wonder if Tonks will now always flee from it?
I've heard of dogs getting excited about the final Jeopardy answer theme as it meant Dad would get the leash and a walk was coming so not surprised about Tonks' reaction.
That is so funny.
Hahahaa! Smart lady!
:D :D :D Very smart girl!!
Saw the title, and I love it!
No more grooming mom....please!
Yet another reason to have a deaf dog! :D

Tonks is too smart.

Laurie and Oscar
Hilarious! They are smart!
Love it! Smart girl!! :cheer:

It is funny how they learn to associate certian noises with particular activities. Madison, who is generally not at all interested in being outside with just the boys, will come running to the back door if she hears my "yard crocs" hit the floor when I get them out of the shoe rack at the back door. If mama's going out, she's happy to come along. Just don't make her go outside and play with her brothers.
