Thank you, Dino....and Linda.....

To all my forum friends....

I need to tell you something that my wonderful husband did for me...

Yesterday, he told me he had a surprise planned....we were going to a B&B for the weekend.

He said I have been too sad for too long, since that awful October day when Heart was diagnosed with Lyphoma, I have been sad and in mourning watching her wither away and then having to help her to the Bridge put me almost over the edge.

With all the wonderful gifts, flowers, thoughts, memorials, posts, I knew I was not the only one to lose this wonderful sheepie...we ALL lost something when Heart went to the bridge. (I am sorry...I digress)

So, on Saturday morning, at 7AM we began our trek...only it wasn't to a B&B...it was to Garden City, MO...to Linda Gunnufson's house....to pick up a 5 month old baby girl...I was so happy...sad....my spirit lifted and yet, I felt guilty..Heart has only been gone 10 days....but, in my own heart I knew, this was right.

My babyHeart had planned this..she knew how utterly sad I was~~~

As Dino explained to me....he couldn't stand to see me wither away like Heart for the past 3 months...and he knew I needed another sheepie to lean on...He said...he couldn't get me 'happy', but he knew what to do and did it....

Thank you, Dino...there are no words...

AND...

Thank you Linda....and your wonderful Show Me kennel~~my new little girl is so very sweet, and oh...how I needed this little baby.

I will introduce her on another thread...

This thread is to let you know that, I will miss my Heart until the day we are reunited at the Bridge. I loved her and cherished her more than anyone can ever imagine...

But..I know she is smiling down on us right now. And I am smiling up at my little baby-angel.....She walking right next to this new sheepiepuppy (as someone wrote to me)..""on silent paws"....

I hope all of my forum friends understand..... :ghug:

I knew you needed another one right from the beginning. i'm just sorry I didn't have one immediately ready for you...............
love this baby and I think Dino needed the baby too.
You deserve this happiness in your life and nothing brings happiness more than a Sheepie. Heart definitely approves because she only wants the best for her family. Congratulations to you and Dino.
As my vet told me, there is no "replacing," it's another soul to love. Can't wait to see the new furbaby!
OMG!!! I am soooo happy for you. :clappurple: :cheer:  :clappurple: :cheer:  :clappurple: :cheer:

I've been worrying and worrying about you without a sheepie but didn't want to ask about plans. You HAVE to have a sheepie in your life so that you can help others with all your great therapy work.

Dino you rock!!!!! :high5:

PS I'm searching the forum, where are the pics? What is her name? I'm beside myself with excitement for you.
I heartily agree.
As I was sitting in the bathroom spending time with Bond on Friday (he is the official bathroom dog!)....I was thinking about how I truly need my time, the one on one time with my dogs. Having them lean in and snuggle, being able to touch and stroke...it is so healing. And we KNOW this, with our dogs as therapy dogs - we see it all the time, on every visit we go to. I was thinking of you and Dino - and not having a single dog to share this with. It made me so sad. :(
So yes, I'm still sad about Heart, and will be for a very long time. But in the same breath so HAPPY you have a new puppy, to build new experiences with. :)

Oh I am very, very jealous!! I wish you weren't all so far away.
:yay: What too you so long??

I replaced Stella in 36 hours! Crumpet was replaced by Splash and Olivia in 48 hours.

Obviously I don't believe getting a replacement does harm to the memory of the past dog. Quite the contrary, I believe it reflects the great love shared must be continually cultivated to honor the past dog. You never replace the lost dog, there is always a hole in one's heart but the heart grows stronger with a new pup, one with their own personality.

Well said!
OMG That is such great news...such happy, happy news. I know the pain you've been feeling and what better way to be distracted than by a sweet silly little crazy puppy. She was never sent to replace Heart, but to pick up where Heart left off. I am sure Heart is sending sweet angel kisses down to her little sister and telling her to make her mommy and daddy happy again. This is such happy news! ok waiting for pics and a name.

I am so happy for you and Dino

We wished you lived close too. The St. Louis Sheepies like to party and Tiggy would fit right in.
I'm so happy for you and Dino. Your love of sheepies needs to be shared with a new girl and Heart is smiling and happy to know you have a new puppy to love. Looking forward to pictures of this new baby.
I am so happy for you! :excited: Heart would want you to be able to share your love with another special sheepie. This little girl is going to have a wonderful life! And there's nothing like a sheepie hug and kiss to help heal a hurting heart.
Hope we understand?????

I'm so happy for you and Dino :yay:

Willow can never replace Heart but she will make you feel better and help you heal.
How can that be wrong??

Can't wait to meet her in May :hearts:
Hell yeah!!!!! Dino ROCKS!!!!!!! And we all know Heart is behind this....

Vance & Jen
:hearts: :hearts: So very happy for you Val! You and Dino deserve the joy and happiness that Willow will bring in the days to come! Heart is smiling down on all of you. :hearts:

Very happy for you! I know Heart would be very upset if you remained sheepieless any longer!
What a wonderful surprise! You definitely a bouncing furball around.

(As for Dino - well, that man is definitely a keeper!)

:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:
I agree, Dino rocks! I know Heart is looking down on you happy and smiling that some of your sadness kind be eased by the love of your new baby Willow.
So happy for you!

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Cindy
Happy to hear about your new addition and looking forward to pictures. I am a true believer that our babies who pass over have a big "paw" in sending the new dog to us. I know it happened for us!!!!
Congratulations, Val! :yay: :yay: :yay:

While no dog can "replace" another, they most certainly do help our hearts heal. It was sad to hear you tell us at the National that you would soon have no dog and may not be at future shows. It was heartbreaking to think of an event where you weren't in attendance. So glad that Willow will put you back into the OES competition and social scenes again. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Willow is a beauty! Is she related to Harry???
Thank you everyone....I am so lucky to have friends that understand..

She is very sweet and very innocent, and so smart....she is a great gift of love that we both needed.

Karen...I love that poem and I do believe to~~ thank you

Nita?? Harry's daddy, Quigly is Willows granddaddy, so yes they are related....
:hearts: I'm so happy for you.
This is such wonderful news! Enjoy every minute with your puppy. :clappurple: :clappurple:
fantastic news....crying again but happy tears this time xx
Congrats Val!
I know sweet Willow will bring you years of happiness.
Oh! Oh! Oh! I just started crying when I read this! I'm so happy for your both! Please tell Dino I think you married the most marvelous man!

Dear Willow,
between you and me, keep the uprights believing that you are sweet and innocent.
Obviously if you've convinced the uprights of that already you're a smart girl and you'll go far.

That Bert boy looks like he'll be good cover, you should be able to wangle it so the blame lands on him.
I find the cat that lives with me very handy for 'taking the fall', so you want to start setting that up now with Bert.

You're doing great in your new home so far. Just keep 'em eating out of your paw like you are now and
I'll be in touch with more ideas for fun and mayhem soon.

Love your Aussie friend,
Tiggy
I'm so happy for you! I know Heart was behind this...she loved you so much she wouldn't want you to be so sad. You can never "replace" your pup, but you can share your great love with another!
Congrats on the new baby! This made me cry!!!

What a loving and attentive husband you have.

I am sure Heart will live on through your love of the new one!
I am so happy for you!! :hearts: Heart had already chosen Willow for you. PLUS it was a B&B. Dino had the "Brilliant" plan and you got the "Beautiful" Willow!!! :hearts:
