No baths today

Was going to give Brick a bath today but decided to put it off for a few days.
We've been very warm the past few days and all the snow has melted. Couple that with a TON of rain and it's turned the yard into a muddy mess. It was about 60 here today and will be again tomorrow
My county has a flood warning. No problem for us, though, as we're on top of a hill.

The temps will be dropping on Monday, so I'm hoping the ground will refreeze. I'm hoping to bathe Brick Monday evening and do Zeke on Tuesday.

Was wondering if you'd lose that what cover in the warm up. Not problem, it will return at some point.

Cold damp here, probably normal for you. Precip higher elevations in city, but remains dry here in valley. Don't want ice for tomorrow a.m. so fine with me. Unfortunately we will probably remain in drought for another 6 months reading NOAA predictions, so any moisture now is appreciated.
Yeah, I'm surprised it got as warm as it did and the rain we received.
I would say 99% of the snow is gone. Just the smallest remnants of the shoveled and plowed snow banks remain.
That is one thing you know when you live in the north, wait a minute and the weather will change. Good luck with the baths.
I hate when it rains in winter because it means ice. We had the dreaded f. rain Friday evening and everything was a sheet of ice on Saturday. Let it snow, and remain 28 degrees.
I agree - might as well wait on those baths. :)

It's too cold here to even snow, let alone rain. We woke to -10F, with windchills -37. The high might get to zero.
This is cold, even for MN, this early in the winter season! On the plus side - the lakes are well frozen and Todd has been out ice fishing several times and the fish are delish! :clappurple: :clappurple:
It's 39 right now. I think the rain has stopped.
I'm hoping it drops below freezing soon so that the ground freezes. I'd like to bathe Brick tonight and Zeke tomorrow.
Wow! Unusual for Minnesota lakes to be this frozen so soon! Friends in Bemidji left for Gulf Coast earlier than usual this year, now I know why. Not returning until early April.

F. Rain is indeed an F word. Only encountered it once in a sizeable amount and THAT WAS ENOUGH! Would have been pretty if I didn't have to drive home from work.

Hope the pups get their bath!
Well, no baths for probably a week. <sigh>

See this thread.

Here I tried to save a little money and it ended up costing me more. <sigh>
