Bailey looks like he has sight issues.

Just got back from visiting family away and had the dogs in Kennels for the first time.
The girl at the Kennels thinks Bailey has sight issues? This is really upsetting. We had problems with him last year when he was walking into stuff but when we got his puppy clip he was fine and our vet checked him out and he passed all his puppy checks no probs so I just put it down to a long coat in his face. Now the fur has grown back but I did clip it round his eyes. The Kennel lady asked if she could clip him more so we said yes but in an unfamilier place he was walking into the fences and didn;t know where he was going. When we went to get him he did not see us and started barking deffensivly until I put my hand out for him to sniff and then he got all excited because mum and dad came for him. This is not normal is it! I had a blind Oes before and so I really didn;t want to believe what I was seeing. Bailey is booked into the Vet hospital to see the Optomologist next week. I want to cry. I so wanted to stud him out.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I'll cross my fingers and hope all turns out well next week.
Good luck Bailey!!!

I hope everything is okay! Keep us posted. :crossed:
Aww! I will hope for the best!
Yeah I am a bit devistated really - I did all the right things to get the bear. I didn;t want a dog with health issues because of having lost Murphy so quickly and I didn't want to get another rescue because of all the issues with unknown bloodlines and health and behaviour problems etc. When I got the baby fur ball I thought it would be a great oportunity to learn showing and because they are endangered now to use him to sire at least twice because he was from a good breeder and now it is all up in the air. If he doesn't get the eye score he wont be able to go for showing or breeding. I might as well have just got a rescue after all. I guess I will have to also talk to the breeder in the end as well because if this pup is affected chances are others will be too. It all depends but I will ask if it is passed down the bloodline. I am sure now the sight is not what it should be. Best thing is for the vet hospital to take a look and see. Then we will know for sure.
