Little bumps just below lower lips
Zeke's been itching more than normal lately, especially on his chin. I noticed a few small bumps under his lower lips, a few more on one side than the other. Not sure if they've always been there or if it's something new. At any rate, I made an appt with the vet on Friday. Anyone else's sheepie have these? |

| Maybe chin acne, can be caused by mites, hormones, oil. Benzoyl peroxide usually clears that up, be careful with application, not for lip tissue. |
| Did I mention it seems like he's sneezing more than normal, too? In addition to the sneezing, he does the forced exhales thru his nose more frequently than I remember. |

| Went to the vet today for the itching. Vet really couldn't see anything obvious. No signs of bugs, no signs of dermatitis, skin looks great, ears are clear. Actually, no signs of anything that would cause itching & sneezing. That leaves something environmental. She asked if I tried Benadryl; I did, and it reduces the itching but doesn't eliminate it. She's having me try Zyrtec. 3 10mg pills once a day. So we'll see how that goes. |
Finding culprit will be tough.........imagine all the environmentals he's exposed to each day........maybe he's allergic to Brick?  |
| Bloo does this weird inhale exhale thing really fast now and then like snorting it sounds really disturbing but nothing has been found to the cause of it hes been checked so many times. He has a lump on the top of his lip turned out to be an ingrowing whisker. ..that was awesome getting out I must admit! !!! |
| The vet didn't seem to think the little bumps under his lips were anything. She did, however, ask me to monitor them for any change. Sam, That's interesting about the whiskers. Zeke seems to have a lot of whiskers. |
