Are You Dressed?

In the warm months, hubby says "You wanna go out?" and Benson trots right over to the door.

Now that winter is here, when he says "You wanna go out?" she stands there looking at him for a minute. Not just looking "at" him, but looking at his face, then his feet, then his face, then his feet - half a dozen times.

We just realized, she's checking to see if he has his boots on yet! As soon as he gets them on, she trots over to the door without any other prompting.

"Yeah, I wanna go out. You gonna put on your boots?"

Love it! So funny!
oh smartie!!
Tiggy watches to see what shoes we put on in the mornings.

Work shoes - depressing, time to go lay on my bed for a day of snoozing
Gym shoes - kinda depressing but there might be time for a walk after the gym so I'll go lie near the baby gate and look hopeful
Casual shoes - same as above, lie near the baby gate in case there's a chance of a walk later
Dog walking shoes - woo hoo! go wild and crazy and run up and down the corridor. Bark at Wayne if Mim isn't in the room to insist on good behaviour
That is so cute and they are so smart. My girls start lining up at the back door when they see me getting my checkbook out. I don't know what it is or if they smell the ink, but up they go and stand in line....even that nag Asia who keeps coming back to check on me.
Sheepies are way too clever. I get the washing out the machine and Summer walks to the back door. With bad weather the wet washing goes upstairs. It doesnt take her more than a few days to realise. Hubby puts his gardening coat on and she is at the back door. I just tricked them both though! I chopped up some cucumber for the guinea pigs, and they rushed out the kitchen thinking it was carrot!
Very clever., can't say Monty is that bright, he's excited as soon as you pick up, shoes, leash or coat, anything that might indicate outside time.

The boys don't care what you are chopping, they are there for handouts, carrots, cucumber, broccoli, zucchini, you name it. They don't take food of the counter top though.
One time I was eating a Greek salad I had prepared. Buster was sitting in the Kitchen staring at the counter top as usual. Waiting for me to come back and chop him a bit of cucumber.

I got halfway through my dinner and I noticed Buster and Monty licking the kitchen floor. I went back in to tidy up and I couldn't find the English cucumber, it was pretty much whole when I left it with it plastic covering. I looked everywhere and I wondered if I even had had one.

I think Buster must have gone up to sniff it, it must have rolled off the counter top. Anything on the floor is fair game, the whole English cucumber, plastic covering and all just gone. Not a bit of evidence left except a wet licked floor.

Couldn't get mad because I didn't see him do anything and know it's not a thing he does, he is very good, they both are. Can leave stinky cheese, chicken, you name it and they won't try and take it or beg for it.
Next time I will tidy up before dinner or have cucumbers out of rolling reach.
That Benson is one sharp cookie!!

Vance
I love how they stand there staring at you up and down carefully observing. Bloo does it too but bites you when he wants. If he wanted you to put your shoes on he'd either bite your feet or run and sit by your shoes and bark. Ges nrver fetched them to me yet tho...

:) :) Yes--my guys can tell what kind of day they will have according to the clothes that I put on. The long pouty faces are common when I put on something that they know are not 'home office' clothes. :D
Sam gets in his crate and sits down when he sees my purse. And, of course, there better be a Kong or cookie (or both) quickly following.
