Sheepies in old ads

As many of you know, I'm a gear head/petrol head. I love old cars and have a huge soft spot for vintage VWs. I recently stumbled across this old ad from VW. It's from '59 or '60, but what was featured in the ad along with the cars caught my interest as much as the cars themselves.

Well, "The Shaggy Dog" came out in '59, so people were loving sheepdogs at the time!
That is kind of a crazy picture when you look at all the details.
The van is backed up almost into the water. The huge ship is nearly on top of them.
All that water and a child is unattended while the 2 adults are smooching....and the OES is just standing on his lead, probably wishing someone would do something! 8O

Erm some people need to be less paranoid the child is hardly unattended!

No comment about the Camper and the ship being the same colour scheme.....................
