He really is adorable... I hope this cute boy finds a home fast!
Too cute! Unfortunately for us he needs to be in a home without children. I hope he finds a home very soon.
He is verrrrry cute :D I think I'll email them and find out more. Jil or Jil, maybe you could go see him?
STOP SHOWING ME PUPPIES!!! This one is literally about 3 miles away and is so adorable and would be a perfect playmate for Clyde.

Tomorrow is my birthday, maybe if I begged James would let me have him....

Jil, you have to get this dog. That's all there is to it. Please tell me when you would like to go get him and I'll go with you.
All right Jil, I just did the first step for you and e-mailed about him to get some more info. And I was wrong, he's 2.5 miles away from me. Think how fun it would be. He and Clyde could be best friends and you guys could come over and we could have tea parties and....!

I so wish I could have another one. Bear with me on the pushing...
I called Benny and told him how cute Max is.......he said NO  At some point he would like to have pee free carpet and new furniture. What a spoilsport. I can be an aunt or godmother however, with visiting privileges.

Jill-
my feelings are soooo hurt! I asked you to just look at him in case someone else was interested, I swear. Since you're so sick I'll forgive you :D The last push is the worst
What is pee free carpet? I don't think I've ever heard of it.
I thinks its, no thats not it..um..I don't know
I hope someone goes to see him!
The pusher is at it again!!!!!

You already are a godmother, remember?
I already got a reply back from the shelter. The woman that replied has been off so isn't sure if he's been adopted yet so I might call tomorrow. I guess he was given up because he would try to herd a 1 year old that would come to visit sometimes-- not even their kid. He's supposedly housetrained and crate trained and he has all his shots.
NOBODY TOUCH THIS DOG

I'm leaving work early. It's 10.37 miles from my office.

Paula - my plans for tomorrow might have changed . . . .

Good Luck, Jil

He looks charming, and I hear he is a good
assistant around the garden!
:D
He sounds perfect Jil,

I hope it works out for you. Just think......a playmate for Beau!!!
Hey, look, my pushing worked!
Yes, you are evil incarnate.

Now, use your pushing abilities in Kayli's direction please.
Good luck Jil!! Can't wait to hear how it goes!
OMG this is so exciting!!!

GOOD LUCK JIL!
I have everything crossed.

Mandy- I haven't forgotten Toby :D
The Jillls and the Floof are meeting at the Royal Oak shelter at 4:00.

This Jil isn't getting a single thing done at work today.
Go Jil!!!! Let us know what happens....he's a cutie!!
I am so excited for you. Hope everything works out perfect. I am sure it will, things happen for a reason you know.
I've gotta admit it was the tea party suggestion from Jill that did it.

Can't you just picture that?!? It makes me laugh out loud.
I LOVE the tea party suggestion. I can see all of you decked out in you party hats, sipping wine, uh, I mean tea. Wish I were close enough to join ya.
Yay! Lots of luck!
I'm so confused! Who's getting the dog?

I'm suprised they can say already that at 8 months he shouldn't be with childern...

I'm sure this pup will get a lot of exercise if he has another sheepie sibling. Best of luck to whoever gets him!
It's 4:27....where are you guys

I believe Jil (floofdog) laid claim to this sweet looking lad and Jill is going with her to pick him up.
I'm sitting on pins and needles. I will be away from the net for the weekend in an hour. I think I will just go crazy if I have to wait until Monday.
I know!! I'm so excited too. I love how quickly Jil sprung into action. I am sure we will get an update tonight. . .

Betsy -- I see that you are in Alabama. Did you see that cute senior boy available? I accidentally said he was in florida. . . He's old, but so sweet looking.
Wow, I haven't checked this thread in a bit, good luck Jil!!! :)
I have seen him, but I really would hate to get a divorce because of him. My husband has threatened me about another dog. He seems to think that 1 OES, 1 Aussie, 1 Border Collie, 1 24 toed cat and a wild rabbit are enough. :P I would take him in a heartbeat, but then I would have to figure out how to foot the feed bill all by myself. Hopefully he won't stay there for too long.
Wow -- sounds like a fun household. Totally reasonable. I'm just passing time daydreaming about finding homes for all the sweet sheepies needing rescue while eagerly waiting for an update from the Jillls. . . I've got to turn my computer off, I think.
He was GONE!

Apparently someone picked hiim up this morning - even though their hours are 4-7 PM and no one answered the phone all day.

I guess it just wasn't the right dog for us.

Kayli & I had a nice visit with Jill, Lucy & Clyde, so it wasn't a wasted afternoon at all!

Until I came home to the pond in my basement 'cause the bathroom was leaking . . . but that's another story.
Awww, sorry it didn't work out Jil...
The right one will steal your heart, and be yours when the time is right.... and that will be a very lucky pooch!
ohh, bummer!! just wasn't meant to be, Willowsprite is right, the right guy (or girl) is out there waiting for you to find them!! :)
Oh I'm so disappointed. I mean, I'm happy that Max found a home, but I really thought it would be awesome if you got him, especially after all you've been through. That stinks.
Aw I'm sorry Jil :( Geri House from House of Rex has a 6.5 y/o male. I don't think it's her dog because she does rescue, but you can give her a call if you'd like. She isn't far, she lives in Metamora. her number is 810.797.5312.
Actually, I'm not all that disappointed. Max just wasn't the perfect one for us right now.

Holly, thanks but I think I'm ready for a young'un next go around!
Jil,

Sorry to hear that he was gone.
Hi Jil,

Sorry it didn't work out...glad he got a home but sorry it wasn't yours. You've got the right attitude however...the right one will come along.

Marianne and the boys
DOH!

A near miss. If this was exciting and you didn't get him, just think how exciting it will be when the right one comes along!
I was so bummed out too. But, like Jil said, it wasn't a wasted trip. She and Kayli came over to visit with us, which was a great trial run to see how Kayli did with a puppy-- a really obnoxious puppy. Everybody did great and by the end of the visit, everyone had reached a pleasant state of getting along. Poor Kayli had both and Lucy and Clyde to contend with on their own territory and I think she handled it very well. Clyde just didn't understand why Kayli didn't love the barking in her face and the spazzing out in front of her. If I were Kayli, I probably would've let him have it! I think she'll be just fine with a little brother or sister.
