Thanks Bailey is very Happy here. The Dogs are both boys by the way! Gizzy went through a really bad time when Murphy died and grieved so much his hair fell out. Now he is like his old self with his new big pal.
Giz spent a deal of time baby minding which I think helped him with the grieving process (He didn't have time! Lol!)
It is really hard to believe Bailey has grown so much already when you look back
It is hard to imagine that they were once the same size! Actually when Bailey came first Giz was bigger!

It is like old times for Giz though! When I look at how happy and contented he was with Murphy in the pic below (on this what we didn't know would be our last walk together)

It is clear to see how close Giz was to Murphy and how much a big part of Gizzy's life that Bailey has become. Sometimes when we are wrapped up in our own grief and upset it is hard to see how our pets are finding things just as hard in their own ways. I think it has been a great time of healing though for us all. I do still miss Murphy a great deal but Bailey has certainly been a great healing for us all. Doesn't he look soooooo like Murphy? I can't get over how more and more alike they look as Bailey grows. :) But in temperament they are different in lots of ways Bailey I think is a much better dog, Better breed and better temperament for sure.

Oes - oh yeah and Murphy NEVER bunny hopped ever!!!!! :D
More random pics!

Here is Murph at 18 months of age Bailey is nearly 14 months old at the moment.
It amazes me how alike they are when I look back at these pictures.

They are very alike indeed. But only in looks I think. Though Murphy did have one brown eye and one blue and Bailey's eyes are brown.
But Bailey is indeed the better dog by far. Murph missed out on so much in his puppyhood that no matter what we did we could never replace or "fix" for him. Having had Bailey from a very young age he never had the baggage of a neglectful home that Murphy had. I guess I can't help but compare them - Bailey still has a way to go before he gets to the age Murph was when we got him. So much happens in that vital 18 months. I am so glad we got Bailey when he was tiny and not another rescue. Murphy still looks very much a pup in these early pictures of him though. He was still growing and after this grew out of his travel cage and harness. He was a much bigger boy than I think Bailey will get to but the breeder said that the bigger dogs ended up with a lot more health issues and they tried to breed their size down. So I don't think Bailey will be as big. Looking over the pictures closely - I don't think Murphy looked very happy when we got him either. When you compare his face to Bailey playing in the garden - Murphy must have been a very unhappy puppy. I am just glad that in later life he truly understood being loved. It made his life with us very much more worthwhile.
