How can you swap a dog for a car. Person should be shot
Because sometimes people get hard up. Some people shouldn't judge. At least they are trying to find him a home and not just dumping him somewhere or tying him up in the back yard and throwing food at him once a day and that's his life. I love my animals but some people are not living in the real world. Probably someone who has no children or enough money to be ridiculous.
It clearly states that since they paid for him, they should receive money for him. Honestly I feel that since this person has the same unusual name as me. I can speak for the good annastacia's out there.

I have been in some really crappy situations and always found a way to keep my dogs. Pets are family and a life time commitment. Unless it actually is a rare situation where there is absolutely no way you can. Dogs are not trading cards or disposable. You shouldn't be able to trade a dog for a car.
Rescues hear stories that would curl your hair. Nothing is surprising anymore. Please don't judge people like this simply by an ad on Craigslist. I've found that in most cases, they are actually doing what is best for the dog. No living creature should live in a home where it is not wanted.

What if the poster had no transportation and a car was needed to hold a paying job to support themselves and their dog? People unwilling to give up pets have lived in their cars and held onto their animals as long as they could before their vehicle was repossessed. Homeless shelters don't typically take in pets. What then? When you can't fend for yourself, it's hard to provide for a pet. Friends and relatives can't take a big dog in. Most dogs taken into rescue live a better life once they are re-homed and most surrendering owners have good reason for letting them go. Believe it or not, the majority of them actually love their dogs.

I don't know the person that posted this CL ad or anything about them but I've seen similar situations first-hand many times. If you see an ad like this, it really helps if you contact the area OES Rescue Contact http://neoesr.org/oes-nat.htm and ask if they can help. Rescues don't typically "buy" dogs but reimbursing for spay/neuter or other expenses is reasonable.

People sometimes make bad decisions. Know anyone who bought an OES on impulse and found it wasn't the right breed for them? They aren't necessarily bad people, just uninformed and usually overwhelmed. Please let them do the RIGHT thing by NOT keeping the dog.
Given said craigslist advert was put by a card and palm reader as evident by their home sale advert shouldn't she been able to see this coming?
Why don't they sell there tv. Yes people are hard up these days why not send him to a foster home
P, I don't think you get it. These people don't want this dog so forget what their reasoning is in discarding him. The Craigslist ad just may be this dog's ticket to a better life. :lmt:
It's sad being honest. I know things change in people lives. If they cared about the dog just give away to a good home. If it was me my dogs would go back to the breeder or a good home but never for any cash.
