Accepted Guard Duty

We traded our RV week before last. The boys love it but it took Dexter 4 nights before he accepted his responsibility and re-started guard duty in the driver's seat.

He looks so cute on guard duty. He's smart because he looks so cute, people with think he's safe until he turns on that sheepie high pitched bark. That will turn the bad guy away every time.
You didn't consult him!

Just curious, why the trade?
Our first RV was a gasser. We drove a lot of mountains in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Utah often slowing to 45 mph with the engine screaming. I took it in for some minor repairs and made the mistake of looking at a diesel pusher. It only has 75 more HP than our previous but has 3x the torque so it cruises up mountains. It's also a lot heavier so doesn't get blown around by crosswinds or passing 18 wheelers

We told our sons we spent some of their inheritance after we closed the deal!
Yeah, BIL had a land yacht but it was diesel. He drove fire trucks in San Fran so was quite familiar with diesels and said while the fuel was more expensive, fuel mileage more than made up the difference, but it was the best engine for such big rigs. They toured the US in theirs, loved it but made the mistake of hanging onto it too long after they quit "driving" and it sat idle for 7 years losing money. So when it is time to down size or stop, don't hang on out of sentiment..................or will it to your son!
Our sons are already arguing who should get it!
Oh jeeze, I didn't even know they made RV's that run on gas. Yeah diesel is the way to go! Glad Dex realized his guarding skills were transferable, you wouldn't want some coyote to come along and snatch the new RV away!
He looks like a little munchkin in that seat!! I had to look twice, thought you got a new puppy.

Good luck with the new rig.

So finally you trained him for guard duty, I am still approaching for my puppy training to be a good guard, but he is lazy as I am.
