Where is the picture of Haley? That cannot be the 12 year old girl that was at my house just seven weeks ago. What did you do with Haley?

She looks like a model. She is so sophisticated and chic.

She looks beautiful of course but she also looks old enough to drive, vote and get served alcoholic beverages.

They grow up so fast. :(

Did she have fun? Was she with other friends?
She has always been so pretty that must have been exciting to get all "dolled up".

BTW - are the blonde locks new? I don't remember those. Then again my brain has been in a fog the last seven weeks.
yep that is the little girl rolling around the floor with Harry and Bert!~~~...

Joey knows this model and she has seen pics of Haley and wanted to introduce her to her (the model's ) photographer. That is how this whole thing started. Haley had a ball!!!! Her hair has a few different colors due to the sun so that is how it turned out. The photographer thinks she has 'something'..(but she could also be wanting to sell her pics... ), so Haley will be doing a few more 'shoots' to see if she really likes it and it is something she wants to pursue when she gets a little older. Time will tell....

This photographer started at 10 pm and finally finished at midnight. Joey said Haley's eyes were closing while waiting for scene changes,,,,she was sooo tired...
FWIW, I know a professional model from the St Louis area. She works the fashion weeks in NYC, Paris and Japan. You would recognize the designers she has worked for, even I did. She has a lot of covers and ads in various magazines. There was a story on her in the St Louis paper recently.

It is a tough business, not the glamor that you think. It requires a very thick skin because they criticize everything about you. There is a lot of rejection before success. I thought Lauren was a perfect size, but she had to lose a bunch of weight before the agency hired her. Now I think she looks anorexic in person.
^^^^^^^^
I don't think it will go any further than her just having fun, dressing up, putting makeup on and getting some pictures taken..(She loves to eat tooo much!!!)

That is exactly what modeling does to you. I started at 13. I couldnt handle it. 5'7" 115lbs and a size 3. You still get called fat. They dont care how old you are. It caused issues that I am still dealing with. Modeling she will be exposed to drugs, anerexia, bulemia, extreme weight loss and predators. Dont think she wont because she is young. Other models are vicious and self loathing. Very very few are happy with themselves.
Adding onto it. I didnt wear makeup or dressed up again til I turned 22. I didnt want anyone to see just my looks. Modeling destroys self worth. If you dont look a certain way or are a certain size you really have no value. You would be suprised how easy it is for a young impressionable teenager to get sucked into that downward spiral, even with a wonderful support system.

The more she gets praised for it, the faster it will happen. Even if it is occasionally.
I know she is more than a pretty face and know you know it too. Even if she has that special something, its not woth it. She is worth more than what modeling will take from her.
How fun and what a great experience for her! Haley is beautiful--love the pic!
Haley is a beautiful girl. I'm glad she had fun.
What a beautiful young lady!!! You definitely can see she got her good looks from her Grandmother and Mother!
It doesn't have to be an impossible dream, but she has to really like it, and get the breaks you need.
Haley looks beautiful . :D :D

My sister's youngest daughter Amy models - she started in about her freshman year or so. She just graduated from HS, and is in Shanghai now, working as a model for the summer.

Here she is at about 16 -

Here is one from this June -

and a recent one from China -

She's from the Phoenix area, and just loves it. She did local shows for stores and designers in the Phoenix area, also events - she's been in the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction works.
Now in Shanghai she is doing magazines and design house work.

So - she may have a future in it....BUT - you need to have a plan as well for life. Amy graduated with honors, got a Presidential scholarship and is going to college in the fall.
Oh..Dawn she is beautiful and sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders and going in the right direction.

Haley is in 6th grade and has been on the principles list since 1st grade.

Again...who knows where this will lead...probably nowhere except to have a little experience and fun. But, I know, Joey is diligent about being with Haley at every step, IF there are any more steps in this...  Being a former cop, she is well aware of the dangers and the pitfalls..and of course she has 'her grammie'..(ME!!) to keep her on the straight and narrow,,,,,,, :clappurple: :clappurple:
That's right - I had forgotten Joey was a cop! :)

My sister and BIL are both teachers, so both Amy and her older sister Amanda have education priorities drummed into them!

And I just get to be a stage mom for my dogs.... ;) Although Todd went with Bond to his 1st job, and he actually liked it. That would be like Dino, or maybe Tim doing it...shocker!
