Chicken with pears and mushrooms

Do not be put off by the name. It is really good, and made in the crockpot.

1 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
8-10 ounces of portobello mushrooms, sliced thick
1-2 fresh pears, peeled, cored and sliced thick
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
salt
pepper

Combine all in crockpot. Cook 4-6 hours on low or until chicken shreds.

I served it with baked taties and leftovers tonight will be on brown rice. It sounds weird and sour but it isn't.

it sounds amazing! Can you taste the pear much? Adam doesn't really go in for pears, so if the flavor isn't very strong, I'm sure I can get him into this!
I would think the balsamic would temper the "pear" taste. Go ahead, just don't tell Adam.
Yummm! That sounds really good! Will definitely give this one a try!
Sounds like something different and in a crock pot. Will try it too, thanks Paula.
Allison, the balsamic vinegar kinda cancels out the pear taste. The pears are barely noticeable and don't taste pear-y. Don't tell Adam what's in it and he'll like it.
