Where are you going this Summer?

Where are you going this summer? Are you bringing your sheepies?

Good question!
We are going nowhere...but yes the dogs will be with us. :go:
I'll have some weekends when I'm not working that will be dog shows, agility trials, herding trials...and that is always fun. Otherwise we have our son Travis's wedding in August (again, local to us) and just enjoying being home when not at work.

I'm intro-ing Bond to agility, and that will take up any spare time outside that I have not already needed for yard work, etc. 8)
We are on our first trip of the summer, this one to southwestern Idaho. We plan several shorter trips in Texas then late summer will head up to Upstate New York to visit my family roots.

We're still trying to figure out this RV thing; how to do it reasonably. Driving for 5 days just to get somewhere is not what it's all about, taking 10 days to cover 5 days driving should be but this time we have a grandson along whose parents want him back son they can spend some summer with him.

We also want to tour the Oregon coast in conjunction with a trip to Idaho but that may have to wait until next year.
Benson has already spent a long weekend in Virginia with us, and taken plenty of daytrips as well. She even went to Americana Vineyards for a book release party.

For anyone close enough to visit the Finger Lakes, the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail is dog-friendly. All the wineries except King Ferry are dog-friendly!

:wag:
We are spending the summer on the lake, boating and being extremely lazy(weekends). And yes, Charm fits right in. She has a swim ramp attached to the ladder. She goes and comes back easily.

Fun thread.
I'm planning my summer RV trip right now. Leaving the last weekend in June for southern Utah, north rim of the Grand Canyon and that area around there. It will be just me and Teddy this year. My nephew Harrison graduated high school and will be working during that time. :(

We are in the middle of Birthday Season here at the moment. it finally comes to an end on July 2nd, then we'll look at what to do the rest of the year. My great nephew is getting Married in Kentucky the Labor Day weekend, so plan to be there for the weekend...I think 12-16 hrs from here. My sisters will be there so it will be great to see them again. The dogs will stay home with my daughter. We hope to get to Michigan during the holidays, but I have 2 weddings to go in Michigan nest year....4th of July weekend my niece is getting married and her brother is getting married just before Christmas next year, so we may wait to take our trip to Michigan then. I do plan on going to Key West for a long weekend this Summer as well. We may bring the dogs with us if we do.
I just came back from my trip, I went through the States to Allison, Ontario then to the Niagara area yeah few weeks too late :( then back through the States. I will never do it again!!! The travel was torture! I had fun and the family reunion and Niagara falls and the wineries. But being stuck in a car with my parents and sister wasn't easy. We got along for the most part but we are all over 40 so our old bones didn't care for the tight space.

I missed my dogs the WHOLE time. First time leaving them for over a day or two. Was 10 days gone. I had one girl from work stay for a week then she had plans and another come in for the remainder. So the dogs had the same schedule pretty much which was great.

They FREAKED out when I can home. Laika managed to scratch me pretty bad. Tons of little kisses from Langley which is rare he doesn't kiss. :)

No more trips for me! :)
Just got back from an rv trip to the Oregon Coast. Spent most days on the beach with the dogs . Paradise for us and the pooches.
We want to RV the Oregon coast, we just haven't found the route to get there that avoids Immigrant Hill on I-84!!! We will!
Same place we always go. Outside to mow grass. :cow: 8)
